Let's do something fun! Everybody on allnurses.com has a very interesting and unique username. What is the back story of your username? Mine is just like it states, "Life's a Journey!"

"Elfriede"
- is a german name. I´m born, living and work there.
- is an old name. These days you woudn´t name your child so.
After 40 years of healthcare (32 of them in nursing), it should
show: "Aunty is answering you".

Mine is a nickname that I was given in college. I have always been stocky, and I had a habit of getting big hits in my fraternity's softball games - hence I became the "killer whale". It bothered me at first, because I initially took it as derogatory. I came to accept it as a term of affection, which it was meant to be.

I'm from a small town called Midpines. It's nicknamed Midcrimes by locals, but my dirt road was mud for 3 months. There's Mudpines
This winter was fun. Thank God for mud tires, and 4x4. Any faster than 5MPH up my road, and trauma center folks would have had job security for a while
Redneck - poor white farmer from rural areas with a sunburned neck.
I rock a farmers tan with pride. Neck is red. I work on my step dad's cattle ranch when I have free time. Dip Copenhagen like it's candy and nothing beats an ice cold Budweiser in the cattle pasture while you're herding em with your Quad.
There's that
Oh yeah, and Rattlesnake tastes like chicken í ½í¸‚í ½í¸‚í ½í¸‚

I just passed the NCLEX-RN (June 4, 2017) and I am so thankful. Hence, "Thankful BSN, RN" Such an amazing feeling!

Lil Nel was the name of my 15-year-old orange tabby cat who died shortly after I signed on to Allnurses.
When I found Lil Nel on the backside of Churchill Downs (home of the Kentucky Derby), he was about four weeks old and darting in an out of racehorses legs while they cooled out after their morning exercise.
He was born in the barn next door, yet stumbled over to the barn where I was working. I was afraid he would be crushed if a horse stepped on him, so I took him home to my two other cats.
KittyKat hated Lil Nel on first sight. Roger, took Lil Nel under his wing for about two weeks (until he realized Lil Nel was playful kitten), then lost all interest in him.
All his life, Lil Nel was super shy, and rarely came out in front of strangers. But that day at Churchill Downs, he made sure that I spotted him!

Hate to say that I didn't put much thought into my name. I tried cat because the cat was the first thing I saw when I looked up trying to think of a name. The 365 is because it wouldn't take just cat and I can remember there are 365 days in a year. I didn't want anything personal or identifying on a public name.

It's fairly obvious; I'm a University of Louisville sports fan, and a nurse, so
there ya go. :) I also go by NurseCard on UofL's fan site, Cardinal Authority.
