I want to read about medications that are nornally given by nurses, what do you normally deal with on your floor? I'm hoping to see a common drug list, but who knows...

Neurontin, Lithium, Effexor, Clonidine, and probably Motrin or Colace.

i work in corrections, and I am a evening / night nurse. no narcotics are given and the issues we address are a bit different than maybe a typical hospital floor.

I work LTC. Everyone gets put on Calcium and Vitamin D on admission. I'm also seeing a lot of Pradaxa and Apixaban instead of Coumadin.

Why is psych so similar to corrections ?!?!? I know why, I think !!!!

Labetalol/Metoprolol/Lisinopril, Novolog, Norco, K+/Mg, Heparin/Coumadin/Lovenox.

Depends on the time of year! Lately Motrin, Albuterol, Orapred, Zofran, and saline boluses!
