I want to read about medications that are nornally given by nurses, what do you normally deal with on your floor? I'm hoping to see a common drug list, but who knows...
- also: corticosteroids (IV mostly but also PO), BP meds (usually metoprolol), Synthroid, statins and anticoagulants (warfarin, Lovenox, Pradaxa and Xarelto). And lots and lots of O2!
Edit: Also mucinex, Flexiril, detox meds and IV electrolyte replacements.
It's hard to say for sure what the top 5 meds I give are, but the most likely winners are prednisone (part of the treatment plan for almost all our chemo), colace, acyclovir PO, protonix, and heparin SQ.
I also give a lot of IV fluids, chemo, and blood products.
