I want to read about medications that are nornally given by nurses, what do you normally deal with on your floor? I'm hoping to see a common drug list, but who knows...

Thanks.

tylenol, senna-s, melatonin, coumadin and trazadone on my LTC wing.

Percocet/Norco, HTN meds, metformin, coumadin/eliquis and tylenol on my rehab wing. )

When I worked in surgical ward the top 5 medications were: Paracetamol, Codeine, Oramorph, Augmentin and Tinzaparin

In PACU: mostly morphine IV and Ondansetron. Occassionally Oxycodone and Cyclizine.

I think patients are a lot of time on too many meds and some of their symptoms could be from the side effects when all combined.

Senna S, Apap, Metoprolol, Simvastatin, Melatonin

It's hard to say for sure what the top 5 meds I give are, but the most likely winners are prednisone (part of the treatment plan for almost all our chemo), colace, acyclovir PO, protonix, and heparin SQ.

I also give a lot of IV fluids, chemo, and blood products.
