Okay, sure, you don't buy this theory. So then, tell me why are very few of those in Republican leadership are urging vaccination, at all? I know that Leader McConnell, when pressed, will do so. And a few members of congress who are physicians, do, but mostly it's crickets. If the former guy's chief of staff is accurate, his old boss came close to dying. And yet, other than mentioning it at a rally and getting booed, I haven't heard the former guy promoting "his vaccines". There was a push in July by some Republican governors, but now, with a new wave, I ain't heard nothing from them.

But if they can lay the blame on Biden, as they did the the false story about more deaths on Biden's watch that his predecessor, then why not?

Okay. Perhaps they do not agree with mandates.

Why do they have to promote the vaccines over and over and over again. That is Fauchi job and the CDC's job.

Down to earth people may be vaccinated but not agree with mandates, may be the same with republicans in office. . Of course they are going to try their best to not piss off some of  their voting base. Just like some democrats do with police defunding etc.  Their politicians and all of them in both parties are disingenuous. That's politics. However to say that somehow republicans are not getting vaccinated or not promoting it just to make Biden look bad is silly and kinda sounds along the lines of the republican nut jobs and their conspiracy theories.

That's a joke? What is the joke?  That you used that phrase and think it's funny definitely means that you frequent and enjoy right wing propaganda. It doesn't matter if you don't "only" consume right wing propaganda when the right wing  propaganda is reflected so often in your remarks.

No one, including me has encouraged or expected you to change someone else's mind or thinking.  My only expectation is that you are able to support and defend your own beliefs or feelings in an intelligent and cogent discussion.  So far you haven't proven yourself up to that level of interaction. Maybe someday you'll be able to defend your own beliefs and stances rather than insisting that someone else must convince you that you are wrong.

"Normal people".  OK. You mean the people in denial about who and what Trump is, about what happened on January 6th, and who think that the pandemic is overhyped by democrats?

I wonder if you believe that folks like me are troubled by that phrase "let's go Brandon"? I bet that's why you keep bringing it up when you whine about how you feel. You think you're trolling the members who voted against Trump don't you?

That's a special and cute brand of diversity that you bring to the conversation.  It reflects well on your communication skills.

Okay. If Brandon is propaganda then it's hilarious propaganda!!

Your opinon about Trump are your opinions. Not everyone agrees with you. Just like some don't agree to my opinions about Biden. So I'm sorry you are not the one who gets to decide who is credible and who is not. And people who read these threads can decide themselves.

Someone, maybe you, recently mentioned protesters.  I've been part of thousands, if not tens of thousands, vaccinations.   I've come across actual protesters one time.  The most vile comments I've had directed at me are from black folks in poorer neighborhoods.  I don't know their political views, but we know who they tend to vote for.

So, to imply most Republicans are anti vax is a simplistic,  politically motivated,  uninformed opinion.

Yes, I mentioned protestors. There is a local group that regularly shows up with signs that read "baby killers" , "natural immunity",  images of syringes with a red circle and slash, and yeah, "Let's Go Brandon". They show up at vaccine clinics, in front of the health department, city hall and other high traffic areas.

All one has to do is look at data for vaccine uptake to see if it is higher in red states versus blue states. Also look at infection and death rates.

They should promote vaccines to decrease the rate of infection, disability  and death. They are public officials who serve all of us, not just their voters. When a reporter steps up to ask their opinion or they appear in an interview, they should tell people they are vaccinated and everyone else who can, should be to protect themselves, their family and their community. If many don't trust Fauci or the CDC, well maybe they will trust their Senator or Governor.

To just sit by and watch hospitals fill up and say nothing except that Biden is bad is unconscionable.

All you had to do was listen to his press conference/balcony talk after he  came back to the White House, and whipped off his mask. He worked so hard to breathe and talk.. He may have thought he was fooling people but he wasn't.  A great role model for any party.....

Many, (not all) republicans  believe that COVID is no worse than the flu. So saying that they refuse vaccines is not fear mongering. I don't know how many republicans are in your community, but there are a lot in mine, and they wear their COVID infections like badges of honor. They are convinced that only old and fat people die of it, and if more people would just get it, it will make Biden and our governor look bad and get voted out. That's not propaganda, that is fact.

An anti-vax coworker came back to work practically bragging that he was "so glad he got covid and has natural immunity the way God intended."  It was a badge of honor.  When I stated it was sad that God intended so many millions to die for his natural immunity.  He said "we all die of something'.

What I also here is "why get so worked up over a disease with such a low death rate".  Umm...well maybe because people get real sick and fill up hospitals and many of those hospitals run out of resources.

I wish politicians wouldn't have to promote the vaccine over and over again.  But when your state is overrun with covid patients and doctors and nurses are crying over the stress, sadness and death and destruction of it all.  There are some people that are saying the vaccine is the best way out.

Others like the governor of Florida go into hiding and come back out after the surge and say "see we have the lowest rates of covid now".

It looks like the WH meetings with the propagandist liberal media is paying off.  Big celebration on CNN for $0.05 drop in gas prices.

I don't know why there aren't more ad campaigns on TV and social media that feature well-known public figures such as actors, athletes, etc.

Are you suggesting that Biden has the same kind of relationship with CNN that Trump enjoyed with Fox? He hasn't called into a CNN program to ramble and rant for 30 minutes yet so I am not as concerned by a host independently celebrating a price drop...especially because a price increase was so heavily cover by media like Fox.

Do you think that the press should let the public know when inflationary points show signs of improvement?

This old lady is a big fan of Alex Jones and conspiracy theories.  She funded the coup attempt.  She didn't know she was funding a coup attempt.  I bet Trump knew she was funding a coup attempt.

As Biden has mentioned several times, he's not allowed to freely speak or answer questions.

I'm more amused than concerned.

You think a 5 cent drop over a few weeks is comparable to the massive increases over the past year?  Again, I'm amused.
