Something to understand what nurses think about re the Current News and their opinions!
David Perdue confesses he would have aided a coup. He’s not the only one.
Republican voters seem to love the lies about the 2020 election and they are busily trying to elevate people who will insure that they never lose another election...even if they don't get the most votes. So they are going to elevate this guy...
Senate votes to repeal key Biden administration vaccine and testing policy

Look at our legislators busily working against pandemic mitigation strategies for political gain. Isn't it interesting to have an entire political party try minimize the perceived threat of a pandemic through their words and actions with the resultant public refusal to participate in masking and vaccinating by their most indoctrinated constituents?
FBI may shut down police use-of-force database due to lack of police participation
https://www.washingtonpost.com/crime-law/2021/12/09/fbi-police-shooting-data/
QuoteIn an attempt to create a definitive database on how often police officers use force on citizens, the FBI launched the National Use-of-Force Data Collection program in 2019, imploring police departments to submit details on every incident, not just fatal shootings. But the failure of police and federal agencies to send their data to the FBI puts the program in jeopardy of being shut down next year without ever releasing a single statistic, a new report by the Government Accountability Office says.
The program was required to obtain data representing 60 percent of law enforcement officers, to meet a standard of quality set by the Office of Management and Budget, or else stop the effort by the end of 2022. In 2019, the data covered 44 percent of local, state, federal and tribal officers, and last year the total increased to 55 percent, according to the program’s website. So far this year, the data represents 57 percent of all officers, the FBI said Wednesday.
“Due to insufficient participation from law enforcement agencies,” the GAO wrote, “the FBI faces risks that it may not meet the participation thresholds” established by OMB, “and therefore may never publish use of force incident data.”
It sounds like police departments across the country haven't complied. That reinforces the growing evidence that our police are not transparent and are not investigating themselves, rather they are obfuscating and creating a specific narrative which is independent from facts, evidence and data. Maybe there should have been significant penalty associated with noncompliance. Police are comfortable with hefty penalties for noncompliance.

I didn't say anything about the amount of decrease compared to the increase. Are you in the business of telling me what I think or would you like to ask what I think about that comparison?
Why aren't you encouraged by even a small drop in prices? Those pennies matter to the working poor.
Remember, you were comparing Fox's coverage of the highest gas prices in 7 years vs Don Lemon singing about a 5 cent drop from those highs.
Actually, those pennies don't make a bit of difference to anyone. And we know liberals actually want high energy prices anyway. Fossil fuels are evil. Obama even said he wanted higher energy prices, or something to that effect.
The CNN reporting is simply propaganda.

The biggest influence now on Republicans winning elections is Joe Biden.

Comparing Fox to CNN is not the same as comparing prices.
We know what about liberals and energy prices? That's an opinion presented as fact that cries out for a citation.
I don't watch CNN but some do. I don't watch Fox but some do. Are suggesting that CNN is more representative of propaganda than is Fox? Is that the discussion that you want to have? Which one of those outlets published content suggesting that the 2020 election was stolen? Which of those outlets enjoy commentary that questions the safety of vaccination in prime time?

Why the Biden Presidency Feels Like Such a Disappointment https://nyti.ms/3IKYHQj
Here's an interesting opinion and essay.
QuoteThe real cause of the unease about Mr. Biden lies elsewhere. There is a sense that however large his spending bills may be, they come nowhere near to solving the problems they are meant to address. There is also a sense that however much in control of the federal government progressives may be, the right is still calling the shots.
The first point is inarguable, especially when it comes to climate change and inequality. The second point is questionable, but it can find confirmation in everything from a conservative Supreme Court supermajority to the right’s ability to unleash one debilitating culture war after another — and in the growing fear that Republicans will ride back into the halls of power and slam the doors of democracy behind them, maybe forever.
Gas prices are at a seven week low and have stopped the steep rise, at least at the time of the story. Natural gas prices down 11%.
The White House is happy about this and I think it's news worthy. But because Biden is happy about it Fox must mock it.
I guess it's a matter of opinion if CNN was gushing or just reporting.
I'm sure as temperatures drop and travel increases and other countries manipulate output it will change. But it is a news story.
Next outrage,..

Of course, it's newsworthy. What's being mocked is a CNN anchor giving praise and singing about it. And, likely not a coincidence it comes right after meetings between the WH and selected press.
