The main headline over at Fox News, meaning it's the most important news story of the moment to them is that liberals let the guy accused of running down people in the Christmas parade out on a $1,000 bail and they are using "Dog, The Bounty Hunter" as someone to the listened to.

Somehow, every single story out there they can twist to make it political.

With federal oversight in short supply, state AGs step in to probe troubled police

Colorado is going to do their own investigations rather than wait for Garland's DOJ.This is a good thing.  Hopefully more states will take an active interest in investigating and remedying police violence.

Your story includes quotes from a spokesperson for the National Police Association.  None from Dog the Bounty Hunter, that I see.  I wouldn't mind hearing from him.  He certainly has experience with criminals out on bail.

This absolutely is political issue.  The DA is a elected position.  Here is some of what he said after he was elected:

"In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the year he was elected, Chisholm said: “Is there going to be an individual I divert, or I put into treatment program, who’s going to go out and kill somebody?”

“You bet. Guaranteed. It’s guaranteed to happen. It does not invalidate the overall approach.”

Chisholm has long pushed to divert nonviolent offenders away from the prison system with alternate programs, and has spoken previously about reducing the number of incarcerations in Milwaukee County."

Just last week in my area, a elderly man was murdered in a park by a guy released on a PR bond (NO money) the week before, even though the police said he was armed and dangerous.

Where I live has experienced tremendous population growth in the last 10 to 20 years.  California and Illinois are the two top places people move from.  They seem to come here, then elect the kind of people who were in charge of the place they are escaping.  It's frustrating.

All good points.  I suppose it is an issue to grapple with.

I'm just frustrated with how it's the main headline and how quick they were to blame liberals.  They don't do the same thing when a shooter kills people with an illegal weapon they very easily obtained unless it's an illegal alien.

The've changed the video at the top.  When I posted the article it was an interview with Dog the Bounty Hunter.  I agree he is one qualified to voice an opinion on the matter.

I don't see any evidence from the above post that Chisholm has ever diverted violent offenters from incarceration.  It sounds to me that he is speaking honestly which is usually a liability to an elected official.  People just hate hearing the truth.

You mean besides that the suspect in this case had a long and extensive criminal history (probably should have already been locked away) and was out on a $1000 bail, for trying to kill someone else with the same SUV?

There was also this:

"The paper reported in 2013 that his "prediction may now have come true" as a man, Jeremiah Schroeder, was charged with first-degree reckless homicide after leaving custody on a deferred prosecution agreement with Chisholm's office. Bob Lutz, whose granddaughter had allegedly overdosed on heroin provided by Schroeder, said: "If (Schroeder) would have been in jail the way he should have been, this would not have happened."

The media really is disgusting.

"Media Calls Waukesha Fatal Car-Ramming A ‘Crash.’ They Called 2017 Charlottesville Car-Ramming An ‘Attack.’"

Are you suggesting that the Charlottesville incident wasn't intentional or that it has been determined that this recent incident was? Regardless, it seemed the intent of the article was to create animus. Is that how it seemed to you?

I wonder if that content was created specifically for publication on facebook.

I have to roll my eyes at this one.

When I think of it, I think "damn that man crashed his car into those people" or "that man ran over a bunch of people".  I don't think less of myself for not saying "that man attacked those people".  To me it's all the same.

Next controversy.

If any part of the media tried to downplay what this guy did then I'd agree with you, but calling it an "attack" doesn't appear to be accurate.

From what we know so far, the F-r was fleeing a violent altercation, and decided speeding through a parade was the best way to that.

I don't know why conservative outlets like Shapirio's DW are so quick to make an argument that facts have no place in the media.

Officer convicted of rape gets home detention after judge determines no ‘psychological injury’ to victim

Quote

A Baltimore County police officer convicted of rape was allowed to remain on home detention, prosecutors announced Monday, after a judge determined at the man’s sentencing that there was “not evidence of any psychological injury to the victim,” even though the woman claimed she received therapy.
Anthony Westerman was convicted in August on multiple counts of rape, sexual offense and assault of a 22-year-old woman in 2017. Westerman, 27, who was separately convicted of assaulting another woman in 2019, was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison for second-degree rape.
But Circuit Judge Keith Truffer suspended all of the sentence but four years of home detention for the 2017 conviction while Westerman pursues an appeal. Truffer also sentenced Westerman to just one day in jail for the 2019 assault, which he described as a “boorish” act, according to prosecutors.

Yikes

No, he was not being pursued.  And, he tried to run over someone else recently.   What a strange coincidence.
