Something to understand what nurses think about re the Current News and their opinions!
When I was looking at the TV in the gym there was a story on Fox News that I didn't listen to that was about "media bias in Rittenhouse coverage". As know they do, they aren't talking about themselves, but liberal media, as they don't consider themselves mainstream media. So I got curious.
Personally I wasn't surprised at his acquittal because of self-defense, but to be honest at first I didn't know it was about self-defense. To me as it was initially portrayed him as a killer on the loose assassinating people. I was somewhat taken aback that when it became what really happened.
We've talked about this before how the narrative and knee jerk reactions at the beginning of an event change as truth comes out. It's made me a bit wary of media and I regret getting swept into the initial narrative.

I fully understand how people are exposed to way too much speculation rather than factual reporting. I believe that is especially true in cable television and social media content.

Please clarify the bolded comment. What exactly are you talking about in response to my remark about those Americans who cannot discern the threat represented by Trump?
The threat of a demented president. The belief that Jan 6 was worse than 9/11. Inability to see the danger of an poorly managed border with unvaccinated illegal immigrants some with cartel affiliation....... list goes on and on.

Wow. I really hate to read this. These were interesting commentators and makes Fox News (which was half decent) appear to be a bunch of sissies for Trump.

We've discussed the dementia topic ad nauseam and I'll pass on that.
You're mistaken that we don't see the problems (I won't use the word "danger" as that's too dramatic) with the border. While the left may not react the way conservatives to with their hysteria, people are aware of the border, especially democrats like Beto in Texas.
Can you explain, perhaps with some back up, the highlighted section because that idea is not on my radar.

Well in some forum on here TMB made a assertion that it could be worse for one thing or another. Perhaps ask him to refresher us.
And you really never heard that anywhere. AOC, and the rest of them?
It’s not ‘polarization.’ We suffer from Republican radicalization.
An interesting opinion.
QuoteWhen it comes to compromise, only one party refused to cast a single vote in favor of the American Rescue Plan. Only one party in the Senate (minus a lone Alaska Republican) categorically refuses to debate voting reform or to consider reauthorizing Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act.
Take any issue, and one can see the difference between mutual polarization and radicalization. It is not merely that Republicans want to restrict abortions; they dangle bounties for those who aid women who seek abortions after six weeks of pregnancy (roughly 85 percent of all abortions) and attempt to shield the legislation from judicial review.
I also believe that we are dealing with an issue of radicalization.
