The members here that you are talking about read the links that you share here yet you claim that they are in some kind of ideological mind prison. Those same individuals engage with you and your differing opinions without fear on a regular basis yet you claim they are scared. I'm wondering what your opinion is based upon if not the interactions in these threads?

Youtube is a private business that is not required to publish everything submitted to them. If a publisher won't publish your content is that the same as the publisher "censoring" you? Is the discussion now about bias because if bias is bad then Rebel News is really really bad.
Yes, propaganda and disinformation platforms ask "questions" that are not asked by reputable media or journalists. It sounds like you are maybe interested in what those propagandists have to say.

Well if it doesn't apply to you then don't worry about it!

I admit I enjoyed them questioning the PM. I also noticed all the other "accredited" media didn't ask those questions. Or any hard to ask question.
Sometimes I have to watch such news sources, as the Rebel, sometimes they report on topics that I would have never know about otherwise. I also do the same with nauseating left media like CNN and MSMBC. However I form my own opinions. Or I'm entertained by how ridiculous they are.
Do you watch anything that goes against your narrative? Do you even actually watch any of these news outlets that you deem propaganda?
Do you seek info from all points or just the ones you agree with?
I purposely watch all types if media as I believe this is the best way to form a well rounded opinion. Heck I'll even admit that I've learned somethings from CNN once or twice I think.
Something tells me you watch only sources that subscribe to your own beliefs. You know like a safe space where you can hear exact same ideas being spouted with no opposing opinion. Oh and Trump bashing of course!

I like her statement at the end and at the beginning she makes the point about free speech that TMB made above that Youtube is a private company.
It seems those most concerned about bias and censorship want misinformation that aligns with their political ideals to be out there to spread.
I personally don't have a problem with Youtube, Twitter or facebook deleting conspiracy theories or covid misinformation. I don't think this is "bias". I think of it as responsibility.
But yes, I suppose it can be a slippery slope if organizations as large as Youtube, Twitter and facebook delete indiscriminately. But since they are in the business of making money, most of their decisions are financial and not political. Unless of course it's dangerous like "covid is a hoax", or "Trump won, stop the steal".

Fair point. I don't think we quote know how to manage huge platforms that are private but do have allot of political discourse happening on them.
There is no way to regulate at the moment and whatever platform agrees with is kept on.
I hear your point with the conspiracy theories and misinformation. However when I watch you tube I recieve adds for weight loss and metabolism etc etc, that are quite obviously not valid but yet are played frequently. Or get rich fast advertisements.
Imo I think these platforms should tag disinformation and conspiracy theories with disclaimers such as "we do not necessarily endorse this opinion" then follow through with education. But not remove the post.
However if this is to work it would have to be completely equal and non bias and post can almost never be taken down. Except for extreem cases like racism and sexual exploitation.
I'm not sure how this will resolve itself as social media does have a direct hand in influencing elections.

Yeah...I watch, listen to or read things shared by conservatives all the time. What I don't do is visit social media, extremist content or watch cable television to inform mall myself on the issues of the day. What I don't do is consider sources like Rebel News or other disinformation platforms to be providing any valuable journalism.

You are making assumptions that are unrelated to your actual experiences with me in these threads. That reflects badly upon you and the nature of your comments.

Yep, there is a lot of misinformation about diet and products being sold with scientific merit, so they are cherry picking what to censor out and what they think is for the greater good in the role of responsible content.
I do think they need to censor out things like "how to make molotov cocktail" or "don't get the vaccine as it contains government tracking devices". So I can't say they should allow everything. But things like "Jesus saved me from homosexuality" which I believe is utter BS should be allowed.
Like I said it's a slippery slope.
They also have a lot of political ads during election time which spins a lot of rhetoric from all candidates. So like I said, they are in the business of making money.

How we interact with social media is one of the most important issues we'll tackle as a society this century (IMV). Propagandists, charlatans and conmen are taking advantage of our constitutional freedoms and poorly regulated capitalism. An alarmingly big slice of the American population is not well prepared to discern fact from fabrication on any platform.
Our ability to minimize the impact and effects of dis/misinformation and propaganda will directly impact our ability to work on the other pressing issues at hand. Things like climate change. We've all seen how rabbit holes of psuedoscience and conspiracy theory have impacted topics like covid and election lies.
I think that the answer to the problem is to educate the population and protect the vulnerable. That's not a quick fix.
