3 more days until summer break.

I am going to cook real meals that do not come from a box and require some time and skill. I'm going to read fun books, and I hope to finish Game of Thrones (the books, not the tv series). I am going to teach my son how to play monopoly. Finally, I'm going to swim. I've missed swimming.

What are your plans?

Specializes in Medical-Surgical, Informatics.

I have a two week break, but I wouldn't call it a Summer break.

Study for TWO math test on my first day back for fifth semester.

Spring clean my house.(optional)

Read chapters for the first test.

Spend one day at the beach with my daughter.

GRADUATE tomorrow with my Associate in Science degree.

Specializes in Inpatient & family practice.

Well I know what I am going to do. Catch up on my lost sleep and go out for a change. Get to know my neighbors who never see me and probably think I am a shut in. In a way, I guess I am.

I'm taking an upper division class so I won't have to take it while also doing my nursing classes that start in the fall! There's a plan to go to Canada in there somewhere, as well... I also plan on catching up with all the shows I've neglected, reading some books for fun, refreshing myself from my Anat/Phys notes and hopefully reading a little ahead in my nursing text books.

What break? lol I'm in an accelerated program. We had one week off (last week) before starting this semester. No break again til mid August.

Took my last pre req final .. AP2.. Yesterday, so my summer break started today.

Family vaca to the Caribbean in two weeks.

Then I take a summer class.. Nursing assessment ..the whole month of June.

To the beach in early Aug.

I start my BSN program mid August.

I want to cook real food for my family, get back into an exercise schedule, take some road trips to see friends, kayak, read a good book or two, make pies with my kids, go camping, decorate, organize my house, learn something new maybe a language.

Specializes in OR.

My summer break will be all about recovering from my first year of nursing school. That will probably include catching up on sleep, reading a book for pleasure, reviewing meds (my Achilles' heel), catching up on sleep, Kaplan remediations, NCLEX questions, catching up on my TV shows, trying to squeeze some of my old hobbies in (including hiking with my family & photography), and catching up on sleep.

Specializes in ICU.

Working. Somebody has to pay for those nursing classes.

Specializes in Oncology/StemCell Transplant; Psychiatry.

I start a paid internship at the hospital I will be working at after graduation next spring. The internship starts at the end of May. In the meantime, I'm working my other job and studying for the NCLEX-PN (we have the option of taking it after we finish half of our nursing program). I'm going to try to get that out of the way early in the summer because I start my online Statistics class on May 27!

Taking NCLEX! Aaaaah!

Psych nursing 4 weeks of May/June. Pinning in July. I plan to start getting back into yoga and pilates again! And get some (hopefully a lot) of reading done. Otherwise, spend time with family, enjoy the weather, and relax a bit. In addition to working of course.

I'm gonna be taking psychology and art appreciation in a 3 weeks minimester then take micro in summer session one and then A&P2 in summer session 2 so I can just be done with all my prerequisites in time for applications in September
