What are you doing summer break?

3 more days until summer break.

I am going to cook real meals that do not come from a box and require some time and skill. I'm going to read fun books, and I hope to finish Game of Thrones (the books, not the tv series). I am going to teach my son how to play monopoly. Finally, I'm going to swim. I've missed swimming.

What are your plans?

Enjoying a couple months before I start NS... going to the beach with my tweens and teen, teaching preschool nature summer camp, organizing the house, planning easy meals to serve my family for when I start school in August and brushing up on topics I struggled with in nursing pre-reqs (acid-base/electrolytes, pharmacology, and others).

I am so excited!!!

Paid internship full time. My poor summer is shot even before it begins! I do have one week of girls camp in there though. Just need to get past finals week!

I'm going to Argentina for the entire summer to study Spanish.

Slow painful death of boredom

I'm not sure yet. I'm considering availing myself to work as much as possible in my per diem LVN job.

I may or may not look at retaking a few non-science prerequisites online.

I also would like to join a gym and / or place my son in swimming lessons and hitting the pool with him on a regular basis.

I cannot apply to RN programs until September and February so I have a few decisions to make.
