What are you doing summer break?

3 more days until summer break.

I am going to cook real meals that do not come from a box and require some time and skill. I'm going to read fun books, and I hope to finish Game of Thrones (the books, not the tv series). I am going to teach my son how to play monopoly. Finally, I'm going to swim. I've missed swimming.

What are your plans?

What Summer? I start nursing school Monday. :brb: (in 18 months).

Cleaning my house  Gardening, spending time with family, and whittling myself down to a smaller scrub size LOL. Those are the plans! I hope everyone who is lucky enough to have the summer off ENJOYS it!! :D

Go to class everyday like I normally do LOL. I'm in an accelerated program, so we only get a week between sessions, but I so take advantage of those days;) Enjoy your break!

Missmollie, I am so jealous that your summer starts so soon...I still have 6 weeks to go. I am going to read books that have nothing to do with nursing, complete several sewing projects, deep clean my house, cook meals that take longer than 20 minutes to make, spend time with all of the friends I have been ignoring since September, get my stepdaughter ready for high school and my son ready for middle school, make my garden pretty, and go with my husband and kids on a big Disney World trip. Most importantly, I am going to try to rest and relax and enjoy a stress free (or as stress free as possible, since there will always be something) summer so I can start in the Fall recharged and ready to go!

Specializes in Neuroscience.

If it makes you feel better, I get a whole 4 days off from school before I start a 6 week medical micro course. I still consider it a summer break because it's not a nursing course. The test questions will really just want to know if I understand the material, and will not test me on my ability to critically think through microbiology. I'm pretty sure I can read my fun books throughout the 6 weeks and still be okay :)

I have this week off, classes start up again on Monday...and I already have homework to do...
