Does anybody have any insight into the best states for nurses as far as pay, cost of living, etc?

So the problem is that middle class families need "to learn to fish"?

I did love that show - did you know that crab fishing is the most dangerous occupation in the world?
I was thinking more along the lines of a lake a pole and shade tree by the shore. Just me, a line and a fish waiting to be caught. It teaches you to slow down, practice patience and save your energy to land a big catch!"

And there is bitter cold in plenty of other states. Just saying.
Could someone start at the start and tell me what this Bill is about?
For those who have never worked 8's - that used to be standard. Now 12's seem to be the norm. Either way, retirement is pretty much better.

I never really got the appeal of fishing, but then my dad would sit for hours trolling in a little boat with a noisy, smelly outboard motor. And then if I actually caught something I had to clean it. Fish guts, yuck. To this day, I cannot stand the smell of fish. But I do enjoy sitting in the shade by water.

These days I'm strictly catch and release unless the fish injured or too tired from the fight to recover!

The original bill was a law requiring health care facilities to provide for uninterrupted rest breaks for nurses and other certain other health care workers. When I was still working in a hospital in WA state, the employer considered any time off the floor as break, including a quick dash to the rest room. Also, there was no extra staff for break relief, so for a good part of the shift, nurses were carrying double loads to break each other. One senator who was opposed to the bill added an amendment to outlaw any shift greater than 8 hours. In my opinion, this amendment was made to kill the entire bill.
