Does anybody have any insight into the best states for nurses as far as pay, cost of living, etc?

They're never going to part with their own fish. They're just going to keep "redistributing" your fish to themselves first, then to the people who keep electing them for the free fish.
Eventually the people doing all the fishing move away to where they can hopefully fish in peace. That leaves less fish to be redistributed. The managers of the lake will continue to pay themselves first, then throw a few fish to their constituents.

I was thinking more along the lines of a lake a pole and shade tree by the shore. Just me, a line and a fish waiting to be caught. It teaches you to slow down, practice patience and save your energy to land a big catch!"

When we lived in Oregon, we used to LOVE going crab fishing! It entailed sitting on the dock in a folding chair with a beer and every 15 minutes, pulling up the crab rings from over the side of the dock to see if you caught anything.
I miss fresh Dungeness.

As for the bill, I didn't read it, but I know it's not "very interesting." I'm open to being proven wrong, but I would be willing to bet a lot of money that there is nothing "very interesting" in this bill.
And here I thought the whole thread was sort of tongue in cheek. Evidently not.
Carry on.

Yep, I'm living on the western edge of Montana, now. About half an hour from the Idaho border. Winter was pretty damn cold (but no worse than Minnesota or Denver, which I'm used to), but holy cow, is it breathtakingly beautiful here.

If it weren't for them then all my fishing would be done at Costco. ?
My aunt, born in 1918, grew up on an Oklahoma wheat farm. We went to see her parents a lot in summer. The food was SO GOOD. Fresh vegetables and vine fruits, chickens and eggs, fresh milk, their own butchered beef and pork. They went into town about once a month.
She told me that when she was a kid all ten kids got a small treat from town. She always asked for a can of sardines. That was the only fish she had tasted until attending the community college at age 18.
When she fell in love with and engaged to my Mom's brother he took her fishing. He promised her she could have all the fish she could eat. He took all us kids fishing.
After retirement they spent winters in a converted school bus camping on the Texas gulf coast. My uncle fished every day. The freezer was filled with fish. She had enough to bring back to Oklahoma and have fish frys at the church.
My user name in in honor of my beloved aunt and uncle.
