Does anybody have any insight into the best states for nurses as far as pay, cost of living, etc?
I lived in southeastern Idaho, at about 5000 feet elevation, about 50 miles from Wyoming. One year the temperature did not get about zero for the month of January. You can expect snow anytime from the first of October to the end of May. In fact, snow on Memorial Day is not unusual.
The area is dry, but they use canals and flood irrigation, thus creating ideal conditions for skeeters. Natives know not to drive at dusk, because the bugs hitting the windshield will quickly obliterate your visibility.

Ok so I work full time 8 hour shift and my schedule looks like this.
I typically get every other weekend off.
so I work Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed (Thursday is my regular day off) Then I work Friday. Then Sat and Sunday off the Mon Tues Wed (Thursday off) Friday, Sat .
So one week of the pay period I work 6 days and another I work 4 days. No where near 7 days a week. Plus I am off everyday by 3:30 so cab still attend all my son's games and school events plus get a regular night's sleep every night.
