If you haven't noticed by now, I like to start threads like this ever so often (sometimes they get pushed to central but that's another story, LoL.) My inspiration for this thread was an AN USER - lindarn. I often catch her kudos here and there, never seen her comment and I wondered who is this mysterious woman? I picture a lady, maybe in her 40s, blonde hair, wears glasses only to read, quiet and reserve. I could be totally wrong. I often picture in my mind what a person might look like just by reading their comments, or threads. What do you see when you read an AN USERs thread, or comments? Who is the user and what do you think they look like. This is all in fun, so please no one get offended if someone is waaaaay into left field about what they think you look like. HAVE FUN!!!!
This thread put a big smile on my face! I'm loving that some of you envision posters in nearly the same fashion as I do! And it's quite fun to read what some of you actually look like.

I love your post, you summed up the AN posters quite well. We all are a cross section of the real world of nursing, which is why the name "all nurses" aptly fits :)
I have never imagined what the poster would look like. I'm not a visual person but I like descriptions. You get the cool posters, the wise posters, the naive posters, the judgmental posters, the supportive posters, the high pedestal posters, the check your spelling/grammar posters (step below the high pedestal), the stressed posters, cynical posters, funny posters, the weird posters (have to read the post two or 3 times still to be dumbfounded), the crap stirrer posters, school posters, non-posting posters (closet posters), love nursing posters (cheerleaders), should I stay or should i go now nursing posters (mid life or early life profession poster), i want a job in nursing posters, you can have my job nursing posters, and a few more I can't think of!
There used to be a kiddie show on TV in the mornings where this sickly sweet woman would look into her magic mirror and "see" all of the little boys and girls...and say, "oh, today I see..Bobby and Mary and Joey and...." that's what this thread reminds me of...
OK, everyone, today I see Brian and he is tall with sandy brown hair, glasses and a beard....
He wears cool sweaters and smokes a pipe...he's a real intellectual;)

I just had a revelation. I use facebook, and allnurses is also on fb. Everyday a thread from the site is posted and people can comment on them. There was a thread posted on AN's fb site that I was familiar with and a fb user commented and it sounded just like a comment I read from the exact thread, and I thought "NO WAAAY is that her. She looks way too young and hip." LoL! Don't judge me, but I had pictured this person to be a little old lady, so that really threw me off. It may not have been her, but I swear the comment was almost identical to the thread post.
I am 5'10" tall with shoulder length "golden blonde" hair (at least that's what it says on the box:))
I wear clothes mostly from Chicos and Banana Republic that tend to sort of "flow" down my no longer slim body....
so not so much on the tailored clothes....other than that---WOW you got it exactly right;)

I am about 5'6", 120# with hair down to my waist. I keep threatening to cut it to shoulder length, but DH threatens to sell the boat if I do. So when we are on the boat at full throttle, I have to braid it a-la "willie nelson" style. I hate it, but I am glad that none of my co-workers see this redneck inspired hairstyle.
I'm short, a lovely shade of blue, and wear a really nice white hat. There's a movie coming out soon that has me in it! ahem

Since I 'talk' to so many AN users on Facebook as well, I know what many of them look like, and I've even met a couple of them IRL. (Mi Vida Loca is just exactly as I'd pictured her in my mind. :) The other member looked NOTHING like I'd imagined.)
LOL I never realized that!!! Is it from seeing my pictures first or without that even???
I have seen pictures of about 15 members here I would say. No one ever looks like how I think they will. I love seeing pics though and putting faces to the names. I am a visual person.
