Another thread has prompted me to ask: what mantra/saying/advice has gotten you through nursing school? What do you mutter every day as you head out to all the responsibility that is waiting for you?
Here are mine:
'Never let anyone or anything get in the way of your goal.'
When you think you can't do something, you WON'T. When you think you can, you WILL.
I have the above two sayings on my fridge, so I can look at them every time I open that door.....which is a lot, sadly, LOL.
Finally:
"One more day down and on my way to my goal."
These three sentences have given me strength the whole time and have made a difference for me. What helps you?
i was just accepted in to nursing school, so i haven't started yet, but i'm sure u all remember the dreaded pre-requisites..
lol my mantra, because i live in nyc and want to work there, preferably ny presbyterian..
New York Presbyterian Doesn’t Take Sissy Nurses.
i have it on sticky notes all over my binders and planner, so i alwayssss self-motivate myself. if u want the best, u have to earn it. good luck
"That which causes us trials shall yield us triumph: and that which make our hearts ache shall fill us with gladness. The only true happiness is to learn, to advance, and to improve: which could not happen unless we had commence with error, ignorance, and imperfection. We must pass through the darkness, to reach the light."

Tuition for my autistic sons private school he will start in two years is over 550 bucks a month if I dont make it through nursing school, he will have to go to public school. That thought definitely pulls me through the really really tough times.
