Another thread has prompted me to ask: what mantra/saying/advice has gotten you through nursing school? What do you mutter every day as you head out to all the responsibility that is waiting for you?
Here are mine:
'Never let anyone or anything get in the way of your goal.'
When you think you can't do something, you WON'T. When you think you can, you WILL.
I have the above two sayings on my fridge, so I can look at them every time I open that door.....which is a lot, sadly, LOL.
Finally:
"One more day down and on my way to my goal."
These three sentences have given me strength the whole time and have made a difference for me. What helps you?
My favorite quote is...
"my mommy's a nurse"-Mattea (my daughter)
Then I think how could I ever face her and say "actually, honey, no I'm not, because I gave up"?
Never. Not going to happen.
I like the C=Continue one...I'm such a psycho perfectionist that I cry if I get below an A on anything and I KNOW I'm going to end up burning myself out that way...Oh and the sky is pink one...do we all have the same instructors or something? LMAO!
I have several mantras that have been getting me through nursing school and they are:
1. 76% is passing. 76% is passing. 76% is passing.
2. I'm already a nurse, I just need to pass the class.
3. Soon-to-be-Sugar Momma. (LOL!)
4. My life will return....someday.
I have much more, but I can't think of them right now.
