What mantra is getting you through nursing school?

Published

Another thread has prompted me to ask: what mantra/saying/advice has gotten you through nursing school? What do you mutter every day as you head out to all the responsibility that is waiting for you?

Here are mine:

'Never let anyone or anything get in the way of your goal.'

When you think you can't do something, you WON'T. When you think you can, you WILL.

I have the above two sayings on my fridge, so I can look at them every time I open that door.....which is a lot, sadly, LOL.

Finally:

"One more day down and on my way to my goal."

These three sentences have given me strength the whole time and have made a difference for me. What helps you?

mine was really positive until I started school no my favorite mantra is

"she can't fail us all"

Ok so this has been my mantra to get me through NS. SO far it was worked for the first year. I still have days that I doubt I am tough enough for this but then I come on to these boards and you guys help make me feel that I am not in this alone!! Thanks everyone. :D ~mel

"If you doubt you can accomplish something, then you can't accomplish it. You have to have confidence in your ability, and then be tough enough to follow through."

Here's mine:

"Anything that's worth it isn't easy" I tell myself that often because it can be easy to get overwhelmed with the vast knowledge we are expected to absorb.

Mine was more positive until 2nd semester, then as a class we went with:

This, too, shall pass.

They were a lot more positive before I started nursing school but I'm just plain burned out at this point. I've got 73 days until Graduation and can't wait to be done!!

My Mantra is "my dream will be a reality as long as I do my part in working hard". I will survive nursing school, I will survive nursing school!.
