  1. VNSNY STARTING SALARY IS APPROX ~ 76k, PLUS BSN DIFFERENTIAL OF ABOUT $1500/YEAR.
  2. Pls keep posts RELEVENT to the topic of discussion, which in this case is NY hospitals &, it's salaries!!
  3. Thank you for posting. Is this the base salary or with night differential?
  4. Hey, thanks for posting the latest information about NYP, just curious, does that include NIGHT differential or is this the BASE SALARY? Thank you in advance :)
  5. $32.75 base, +2.00/hour for evening differential + .25c/hr for BSN. So $35/hour :) and this is in Staten Island. Best of luck in your job search.
  6. Hi Everyone, I am an RN (BSN) with 6 months of nursing home experience. I was interviewed last week at an Assisted Living Facility in NYC. I just got called in today to go for a second interview in a few days. My question is, how much I should expect to be paid at such a facility in NYC? Thank you to all that respond :)
  7. Hey SiegolindoRN, Thanks for the posted information. Does NYU have a BSN differential or is that already included in the base of 74k?
  8. That is pretty sad. There aren't enough hospitals in Staten Island as it is. The Nursing Home/Rehab Center (St. Elizabeth Ann) in Staten Island that I work Per Diem for, is also being auctioned this month. So our positions really depends on the new employer, if they decide to keep us or not . Things are definitely not looking good for new Staten Island nursing grads.
  9. Congratulations to a well deserved position!
  10. yea, that seems to be the new trend now a days.... thanks for the support :)
  11. Just an Update...Apparently my job got canceled the day I was supposed to start ...after all the paper work and physicals were done ...Reason--- the staffing budget is at its max...they couldn't tell me that the day they interviewed me:confused:...so yet another New Grad's search continues....
  12. I agree with what you said! Like they say: Beggars are not choosers! We need all the experience we can get as new grads.
  13. I am also a New Grad RN, just landed a job at a clinic, hired at a rate of $21/ hr. It isn't great but will pay the bills and of course the experience is a plus.
  14. I just got a call today for an interview at a Clinic as an RN . All that matters at this point is getting a job, especially for a new grad !!! The salary you asked seems reasonable. I don't know how much I will be getting , granted I get a job. But honestly, after job searching and not hearing from ANYONE and having soo many friends (RN's) that are jobless, I would be happy getting anything over $20/hr. Wish you the best of Luck !
  15. I am also going and it is my first time going there....I mean im sure they will want experience:uhoh3: but there is no harm in trying...u never know...I wish the best of luck to all of u !!
