i can't wait.... [color=#2f4f4f]...to move out of my parent's basement which i had to move back into (after 5 years of being on my own) when i started the lpn program last year [color=#2f4f4f]...never having to do such an in depth care plan again [color=#2f4f4f]...not having to drive 4 hours 1-2 times/wk for a stupid 3 hour class [color=#2f4f4f]...earning better money [color=#2f4f4f]...actually having off on my days off and not spending all the time doing homework [color=#2f4f4f]only 48 days til finals!!! woohoo!!:anpom:

i have a question for anyone who knows the answer. i know that hypoglycemia can cause asystole, but does anybody know why or how it does? thanks!!

mine was always "only x more clinicals" or "only x more weeks". it has always been too, once i'm done i can move back out of my parents house . most recently it has been "only one 2 more months til i can buy my townhome" today...only 7 more weeks and one more final!

i will be 25 and in school for way too long when graduate with my rn/adn in may. and i, too, want to on for my bsn and possibly masters, but after this semester, i'm not to sure anymore.

ebten 10--I am go to MNWest (I also got my LPN from this school). The campus is located in SW MN. The program is an actual onsite program, but they have an online section, so I still get the clinical experience and all the other stuff.

i'm jennie. i'm 24 and i got my lpn last may. i am currently working at the same nursing home i worked at as a cna. i will be graduating in may with an associates rn. i cannot wait. i hope to work at a large hospital in the cities. i really want to work in the ed, but i'm sure i'll have to work my way up to get there. i live 4 hours away from my school and have done the whole program through distance learning. so, if anyone has questions about distance learning nursing, i know a lot about the subject. nice to meet everyone.

When I was still a CNA in the LTC facility I still work at, a co-worker and I were getting a female resident ready for bed who wasn't quite all there. She was concerned that their wasn't enough room in her house for all of us, including myself and my coworker, to sleep. After rearranging some sleeping situations, she decided that instead of sleeping on the couch, she would just tough it out and sleep in bed with her husband. She then said something about, but if I sleep with him, I'll never get my book finished because he never left her alone when they were in bed together. I then asked the resident what book she was reading. She looked at me and said "well, it's a book on all the different positions," as in sexual positions. I held my laughter in as best as I could, until, with a very serious expression, the resident looked at me and says "What's your favorite position?" At that point I couldn't help but laugh. My coworker jokingly says in a hushed voice, hoping the resident wouldn't hear, says "doggystyle." Well, the resident did hear, and the rest of the night, while she was lying in bed, she barked.

Hi, I'm Jennie. I am an LPN at a LTC but I am getting my RN in May and am hoping to get a job at a hospital. I love being a nurse, but I know LTC is just not for me. I've worked in LTC on and off for close to 8 yrs and it's getting very boring and repetetive. So, that's me. :wink2:
