What did you get for nurses week?

I'll go first,

Icecream social, free massages at work and a picnic blanket with hospital logo. I'm sure there are other things I've left out but this is what we got so far.

Monday- Breakfast

Tuesday- Cake

Wednesday- Lunch + Icecream

Thursday- Lunch

Friday- Pizza + icrecream

And throughout the week pens, penlights and random give aways such as water bottles bags and stuff. Plus a ton of small snacks and stuff too that others brought in

We got these great jackets with the hospital logo on them, breakfast, a dinner, and a certificate for free family portraits. I work for a great company!

Nada. But then, I work weekend nights and management always forget that we exist so I didn't really expect anything.

Nothing. Our management doesn't appreciate nurses.

Nothing, no acknowledgement whatsoever. We got a memo once 3 or 4 years ago that said we were appreciated.

We something new every day. Ice cream with toppings one day, pizza next, Jimmy Jones subs for lunch another, donuts and bagels from our floor pharmacist, a drawing for a Littmann stethoscope cardiology III for each shift (days and nights). Our hospital gift shop gave us tokens for 5 bucks off a purchase of $10. Hospital also did crosswords for a prize for each shift. Not sure what the prize was for that.

Nurses Week starts tomorrow for us on Flo's birthday. I know there is a breakfast on Thursday. Some pens would be nice. A nurse can dream....
