I have orientation Aug. 24th through the 27th, then my classes start Aug. 30. I am happy that we will have Labor Day off to stop and collect myself:rolleyes:

Fortunately, and surprisingly, my school/instructors are not forcing us to buy from the school bookstores (there are several, large university). Our instructors posted the ISBNs about a month ago, and have encouraged us to look online. Amazon saved me tons of money.

From what I have been told, it is now a policy that book information has to be released to college students so that they have the option to buy from other sources. Our bookstore used to not post the ISBNs so I would just go in and write them down. This year, though, they're posted!

I start nursing school on August 19th. I got my Littmann, my iPod touch, a laptop, and my paper and pencil type supplies. I still need to order my scrubs (white and galaxy blue) and get a few more things.

I'm excited, nervous, full of dread, etc!

Oh yeah, we had to have all of our vaccine business taken care of before we could be fully accepted to the program. So, all that is squared away.

I start on August 25th Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's just a month away now! But the previous week, we have to go in to buy a bunch of our stuff, gets fitted for our uniforms, get our nametags, etc., etc.. I'm really excited. I can't wait to buy all my school supplies, I get soo giddy shopping for notebooks and pens, it's crazy.

I start on Aug 18th. It will be my first nursing semester. All my prereq's are finished.

I'll be taking:

Fundamentals of nursing with lab

Health assessment with clinicals

Pharmacology

Health provider level CPR

I'm very excited to be doing this...you see I'm doing this with my daughter! We were both accepted. :)

My orientation is on September 1st with the first class on the 7th. I have some of my text books already (the rest weren't in yet at the school's book store), tons of paper already from last year's back to school sales, binders, high lighters, a netbook, new printer, and a few other things. I still have to get the scrubs (darn those white uniforms), lab coat, clinical shoes (but clinical doesn't start until the first week of October), analog watch, stethoscope, and there are likely a few things that I need but can't think of at the moment.

I have orientation Aug 30-31, and I begin classes September 7. I'm a second degree ABSN student moving to a completely different state to attend nursing school. At this point, i'm just ready to start! Everyone keeps telling me I need to enjoy this break now though, but it's so hard! lol

i start august 26 and can't wait, been waiting since january actually, had to postpone a couple of times. i'm still very nervouse though and excited! i will be taking fudamentals 120 and 126. i hear its going to be one heck of a ride. so far, i have only purchases a couple of books, test for success, i think and math for meds, oh target has school supplies on sale, so i bought notebooks for .50. also, i already have my uniforms and tried them on, pretty cool, and a perfect fit i might add. most people opted for the pants with the draw strings but i chose the pants with the rubber in th waist and they came in petite sizes, so i love the fit.

i think today i will go look for shoes and stethoscope.
