What color are your scrubs?

In FL & GA most RNs now wear royal blue. Is that the case everywhere?

Specializes in ER.

I wear whatever colors I want but within a year we will go all navy. Sucks! Could be worse though. I think the teal will be for unit clerks and techs. I don't know what our paramedics will wear (black maybe?). Supposedly they give workers up to a year to get the new scrubs. I know our name change is effective in January.

At my old job, RNs wore Caribbean blue/grean, techs wore teal, environmental wore navy, respiratory/imaging/paramedics wore black.

We all wear whatever we want

Navy blue - large metro hospital in Ohio

Specializes in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

One hospital wears royal or white, no mixing. One wears galaxy blue and white, mixing allowed. Another, nurses must wear eggplant, brown, or black pants with either solid or print top that matches the pants.

Any combination of navy blue and white and I'm in Georgia.

We wear Navy Blue at my hospital. The typical in California seems to be either Navy Blue or Ceil Blue.

Specializes in Family Practice, Mental Health.

In California, where I work in the hospital, there is no requirement. I have a special top for Rapid Response Team than I Could wear.....but I don't.

Elsewhere, in Nebraska, it was black pants with a Red scrub top for certain floors dealing with hearts :) (Go Big Red).

At my new job, nurses wear navy, techs wear teal. At my last job you could wear street clothes (business casual) or scrubs of your choice. I had so many cute patterned tops that I have had to put away :(

We wear ceil blue

Navy. Sucks. Is boring. Picks up EVERYTHING but a rich man. Tired of picking pug hair off it. Tired of feeling like a clone - every hospital within the tri-state area is wearing navy.

Patients HATE it. They prefer bright colors and seasonal prints - but I not sure anyone in admin really cares enough to ask the patient.

And, patients STILL ask the housekeeping staff for pain pills and they wear pink and are usually carrying a mop! So why bother - they can't read and are all color blind. What's next? All RNs will be required to shave their heads?

There is no vaccine for stupidity.

Our nurses wear Navy, royal, or white.

We wear all white from head to toe and right now I can tell you that my trek outside to get lunch when it was sunny ended up with rain. I'm soaked. -.- basically you can see everything. Still have 3 more hours? -.-'
