Aug 7, 201411 yr Need a new one- obviously something pretty large and durable to get me through another three years!Recommendations?
Aug 7, 201411 yr I just ordered a jansport big student backpack. It seems like a good fit for nursing school. It has two compartments, a laptop sleeve, and small organizers. Plus, some of the designs are stylish.
Aug 7, 201411 yr I have a Jansport and I love it It holds a TON of stuff, BUT if you need laptop space and it's bigger than 15 inches.. it's a feat to get it in there. I am looking at the UA backpacks, but people tend to love them or hate them.. so for right now I'll stick to my black label JanSport
Aug 7, 201411 yr I bought a dakine when I began taking my prereqs and it has lasted quite some time! My mother (also a nursing student) swears that I need to invest in a rolling backpack but eh.. I need to save ALL my coins! Im pretty sure that my dakine won't let me down while I'm on this journey :)
Aug 7, 201411 yr Timbuk2 "large" messenger--I've had mine filled to ridiculously-overloaded, used it for a primary bit of luggage flying back and forth to school, and otherwise beat the living crap out of it (including acquiring a mystery stain in O-Chem lab...) and it never failed me.
Aug 7, 201411 yr I've had my LL Bean backpack (they call it a book pack...I think mine's the deluxe) since high school, and it hasn't failed me yet!! Made it through college and nursing school and still going strong! I also have a north face backpack, but it's not as comfortable to wear, and it doesn't hold as much. Now that I'm out of school, I don't use it as much, but I love breaking it out for road trips and vacations!
Aug 7, 201411 yr Good day, I've been using the eBags TLS Workstation Laptop Backpack since last September; so far so good.Thank you.
Aug 7, 201411 yr I have a North Face backpack that I've been using for the last 2 semesters. I bought it used for $20. I was able to fit all my books last semester when needed. I will have to see how it does when I start my nursing classes in January.
Aug 7, 201411 yr I used a Camelbak backpack that I got on Woot. It's still in pretty good condition, considering how many heavy books I crammed in it I don't know how many times. My husband wants to burn it now that I'm a nurse! LOL
Aug 7, 201411 yr Dakine - is the best! It has a built in cooler upfront and is very durable and roomy.
Aug 7, 201411 yr I have several, none that I have paid for. Inherited them used. Except for "work bag" that I decided would work as a school bag a time or two. What I used, was based upon what I needed. I have a roll around bag that can fit a ton of crap in. Useful when your going to several classes and will be studying between classes, or meeting study group. NOT practical for just running to one class quickly. For what I understand, I will not be using this for actual nursing school. This is it "Swissgear Patriot Rolling 2-Piece Business Set WA-7953-02." It's HUGEMy other bags are messenger types. I use them for just attending 1 class or a study group. Where I don't need EVERYTHING and the kitchen sink.Hubby wants me to buy a backpack for nursing. I'm really scared, since I will have so much stuff to buy, I just don't want to spend any on it. LOL! I inherited the roll around from him, when he changed to a back pack. He travels ALOT and finds that the back pack works so much better. But we have different needs. Anyway, I'm on the look out for a back pack for nursing school.
Aug 7, 201411 yr following this....I know how well Jansport bags usually hold up but I want something cute. I found a Dakine that I love on 6pm.com but wasnt sure how they held up . I have been using a cute leather consuela messenger bag that I bought on clearance couple of years ago but I need something easier to carry with all the books I will have once nursing school starts
Need a new one- obviously something pretty large and durable to get me through another three years!
