  1. It was great! No really I was stressing thinking I was taking nursing exams all combined again. The most important thing is to relax and answer each question carefully. I took my time because I knew rushing was no use because its a scale of how well you do on the questions. I took kaplan mostly, finished all qbank, alternate exams, few quiz trainers, and did a little lippincott q&a. But I believe kaplans all you need. If you prepare well enough and think it through it will be a guarantee. How did you do?
  2. I passed my nclex recently and for 3 days straight afterwards I tried the pearson vue trick at different hours of the day. I kept getting a good pop up. I wasn't convinced. But I knew when I took my exam I felt calm and confident. That also helped me to know the pop up may have worked. 3 days later, my unofficial results were PASS. Hoping it works for others. They say theres never been a false good pop up. Im thinking it may be true. But that might be really true after 24 hours following exam.
  3. Hi Tom, Currently, I am in the nursing program at Bloomfield College. I'd like to tell you that clinicals start officially in the hospitals or nursing homes during the 2nd semester of the first year. Labs start usually the first semester. There will continually be clinicals implemented throughout the program but background checks start before the nursing program starts. That means whatever is on your record till that time will be up for consideration. So I guess you'll be cleared by the summer of next year?
  4. So, I ended up trying Arm and Hammer detergent and poured it onto the stain and rubbed it in. Waited 5 minutes and put it in the washer with regular detergent without fabric softener. And, it worked like a charm! :)
  5. Ill try the oxiclean. If that doesn't work Ill try peroxide. Thanks for your reply.
  6. I'm afraid of using bleach because its not completely white. I will try oxyclean and tide to go pen sounds good as well. Whatever fits my budget.
  7. The one I'm using now is from Sephora. It says its formulated without mineral oil.
  8. While I was putting on my uniform I got makeup (foundation) lines near the collar of my shirt. Plus, its white so you can visibly see it. I'm afraid my instructor will notice. Are there any tips for removing makeup stains from uniforms? Preferably a white scrub top? Anyone else experience this? Thank you for your suggestions.
  9. Yeah Jess I agree with you. Some people show their true colors in time. Its good to weed out the bad ones.
  10. What the OP said and you've said is exactly what I'm going through. I've lost friends and people are hesitant to friend me outside of school and work because of my commitment to school. Ive matured and I hope to find genuine mature friends along the way. Its hard to find a good friend that will stick through. Ive learned my lessons and kept to my faith and dedicated myself to working hard from now on. I know ill persevere. I've always felt like an outcast and awkward. I believe every season has its change.
  11. Oh okay thanks for clarifying but now I'm scared.
  12. What specifically do they mean when not being able to apply theory to practice? Could you name some examples?
  13. Great post. Thank you for the words of encouragement and wisdom.
  14. Starting ns this fall as well! Been waiting for this moment since it took me longer by transferring. I thank God for the opportunity. I'm nervous and excited. Good luck to you!
  15. Try http://www.bigwords.com. Its a great site where you can compare prices for books of all types in a huge marketplace. It really gives you the cheaper price.
