NCLEX & Pearson Vue Trick (PVT), your experience...
It was great! No really I was stressing thinking I was taking nursing exams all combined again. The most important thing is to relax and answer each question carefully. I took my time because I knew rushing was no use because its a scale of how well you do on the questions. I took kaplan mostly, finished all qbank, alternate exams, few quiz trainers, and did a little lippincott q&a. But I believe kaplans all you need. If you prepare well enough and think it through it will be a guarantee. How did you do?

NCLEX & Pearson Vue Trick (PVT), your experience...
I passed my nclex recently and for 3 days straight afterwards I tried the pearson vue trick at different hours of the day. I kept getting a good pop up. I wasn't convinced. But I knew when I took my exam I felt calm and confident. That also helped me to know the pop up may have worked. 3 days later, my unofficial results were PASS. Hoping it works for others. They say theres never been a false good pop up. Im thinking it may be true. But that might be really true after 24 hours following exam.

Bloomfield College pre-nursing student
Hi Tom, Currently, I am in the nursing program at Bloomfield College. I'd like to tell you that clinicals start officially in the hospitals or nursing homes during the 2nd semester of the first year. Labs start usually the first semester. There will continually be clinicals implemented throughout the program but background checks start before the nursing program starts. That means whatever is on your record till that time will be up for consideration. So I guess you'll be cleared by the summer of next year?

How do I remove makeup stains from my nursing school uniform?
So, I ended up trying Arm and Hammer detergent and poured it onto the stain and rubbed it in. Waited 5 minutes and put it in the washer with regular detergent without fabric softener. And, it worked like a charm! :)

How do I remove makeup stains from my nursing school uniform?
While I was putting on my uniform I got makeup (foundation) lines near the collar of my shirt. Plus, its white so you can visibly see it. I'm afraid my instructor will notice. Are there any tips for removing makeup stains from uniforms? Preferably a white scrub top? Anyone else experience this? Thank you for your suggestions.

I feel like a loner sometimes.
Yeah Jess I agree with you. Some people show their true colors in time. Its good to weed out the bad ones.

I feel like a loner sometimes.
What the OP said and you've said is exactly what I'm going through. I've lost friends and people are hesitant to friend me outside of school and work because of my commitment to school. Ive matured and I hope to find genuine mature friends along the way. Its hard to find a good friend that will stick through. Ive learned my lessons and kept to my faith and dedicated myself to working hard from now on. I know ill persevere. I've always felt like an outcast and awkward. I believe every season has its change.

What backpack do you use?
I just ordered a jansport big student backpack. It seems like a good fit for nursing school. It has two compartments, a laptop sleeve, and small organizers. Plus, some of the designs are stylish.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to change the location since its already poste. Try posting the same question again by going to the pct section in the nursing student forum. Its below the cna section. :)

Patient Safety Aide
Yeah I believe you guys are right. I don't like anyone hurting their back nor do I want to cause pain to my patient. I should ask my manager for training on this. All in all it really should be a team effort. But its difficult when everyone's busy.

Patient Safety Aide
Hi guys. I just started a patient safety aide position at a local hospital. I'm completely nervous at times. Like I forgot to sign out and I'm freaking out. The reason I'm being this way is because I dont want to be terminated. This job will help me become a nurse there and its paying for nursing school. I'm having trouble lifting up my patient back into bed. I know about the sheet method but its hard to slide my patient when there's no CNA present to help. I have to bother the nurses and I know they don't like it often. One nurse told me I have to learn. His back hurt helping me because I'm weak. I just want to be good at my job and not make mistakes. Does anyone have any tips? Thank you so much.

What things stand out on a resume?
Does joining the student nursing association for my college increase my chances of employment? Will it benefit me in the long run? I have volunteered 60+ hours in the Emergency Department at a local hospital. I will be starting a patient safety aide position soon. I have worked as a pharmacy clerk and in customer service at CVS. But these were short term jobs. Does getting an externship at the hospital I work at increase my chances as well? What do you believe will be the most important thing potential employers look for?
