UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated Program

Hello All,

I am currently in the process of trying to get into the UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated program. I am not sure if there is a thread already started. But if there is not one I would like to start one. Hopefully we can use this thread and keep up with one another. Who else is hoping to get into UT Houston's Summer 2010 Accelerated program?

TWH3, Congrats to you on getting in! What day in Feb did you interview? I interviewed on the 11th and still haven't found out anything. I am a nervous wreck!

Wow it has been pretty quiet around here. I still have not heard anything so I am thinking I did not get in. That is ok though, maybe i will get in for the Fall if I bring up my GPA with this semesters courses. (wait a sec, just thought of this...they are already doing Fall arent they...so I wont even have a chance to bring up my GPA???) So happy for you all :)

Hi Everyone!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Granted provisional acceptance today!!! So excited!

For anyone who has not yet been accepted, I called yesterday and asked why I had not heard anything yet. They told me that originally they were going to let everyone know by March 15th, but now that date has been extended to April 15th. So, don't give up yet. I will say my prayers that all of you get in! Good luck!

As for those already accepted, I see that you all have started a facebook page. I have requested to join. Not sure how this works, but can someone accept me? Thanks!

Anybody out there that interviewed the first week of March? If so, have you heard anything?

I contacted the school and the lady said UTlink will be completely updated by the end of this month.

I interviewed the first week of March and found out that I was accepted about a week later. There's still time though! Good luck!!

Okay, another question, has anyone seen on their UTlink a rejection? or are they only posting acceptances?

Hi,

My Mother-in-law wants to purchase me a stethoscope for my Birthday next week. She asked me which one I would like. I emailed the nursing department about which ones I could use and they said I will be told after I get accepted nito the program. The problem is, she wants to order is ASAP. Is there any current UT houston students who can tell me which ones I can buy? I am looking at the 3M Littmann Master Cardiology Stethoscope. I was thinking of getting it in blue. Will this stethoscope be okay and do they allow it to be colored? Thanks to anyone who can help!

I got a littmann brand classic II S.E. off of Amazon for 75 dollars in ORANGE. Go Horns. I've heard that littmann's are the best and they don't specify what color it needs to be so I figured what's wrong with a little school spirit and a blue stethoscope would really accentuate our blue scrubs ;-).
