UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated Program

Hello All,

I am currently in the process of trying to get into the UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated program. I am not sure if there is a thread already started. But if there is not one I would like to start one. Hopefully we can use this thread and keep up with one another. Who else is hoping to get into UT Houston's Summer 2010 Accelerated program?

no, i think it means you're accepted for the generic program.

i got waitlisted for accelerated, and it doesn't look like that.

I did. bach09 I think you are in the generic program. I got an email about getting waitlisted and nothing on ut link changed. So congrats to you.

Does anybody know the chances of getting in if you are waitlisted. Just found out that I was put on a wait list. I mean, how long will I be on the waitlist before they tell me yes I got in or no I didn't?

I think that the chances of getting in off the waitlist are probably pretty high, depending upon where you are ranked in the waitlist. I'm sure that not everyone will say yes! As far as when they will tell you, we have to tell UT Houston by April 5th whether we accept our spot, or they will give it to someone on the waitlist, so I'm guessing maybe a week or so after that you should hear something? Maybe sooner? Hopefully that helps! Good luck!

I'm still waiting to hear....my UT link still says pending....ugh!

How did you all find out that you're on the wait list?

I spoke with the school today and they said everyone should know by April 15th. I asked if they could check my status and they said I would have to wait to get my letter. So I'm still waiting...keeping my fingers crossed!

Well even thought mine says "conditional" I got the email today!!! It is for the traditional but that is just as fine with me :) :) Wow that I had no chance

Congrats bach09! You have giving me some hope! I wish I can hear any news at all good or bad! I'm soo confused and nervous....all my plans are on hold now because of this situation!...I'm graduating in May and on my birthday no less, but this sword of damocles hanging over my head have taken all the joy out of my impending achievement! I hope I get in any of the programs traditional or whatever...so my life can start!

This is in regards to the stethoscope topic lol...

Do any current nursing students know if they mind if you have your stethoscope personalized on the head? I was thinking of putting my name on it since a lot of people will probably have the same kind/brand.
