I am currently in the process of trying to get into the UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated program. I am not sure if there is a thread already started. But if there is not one I would like to start one. Hopefully we can use this thread and keep up with one another. Who else is hoping to get into UT Houston's Summer 2010 Accelerated program?

Orientation is on the 12th? Is this when we will get our student ID numbers?

I have not accesed the web mail either does anyone know how we go about doing that?

You student ID number is the number that they gave you to log into your utlink. It starts with the letter A and has 9 numbers after it. You won't be able to access your ut email after orientation.

Hey, anyone on the waitlist heard anything in the past few weeks?

I am on the waitlist,too. I was told a month or so ago that everyone on the waitlist usually gets in, so you are not considered for the fall. A month has gone by and it is getting close to the start of the program. I left a voice mail and sent an email last week, but have not received a response. I know they want to fill every slot they have, but have no idea how last minute it gets. I guess we are waiting for someone to fail a drug test or back out last minute.

Anyone have any idea how this process works?

I don't know how last minute they accept people, but email them with any prereq grades that you just finished and keep your hopes up. Chances are, someone will back out at the last minute!
