Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions. Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.
My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.
Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.
Update 7/6/25 CNN
Hegseth did not inform the White House before he authorized pause on weapon shipments to Ukraine, sources say
Trump told Hegseth to restart some shipments
Quote
....Shortly after learning of the pause last week, Trump told Hegseth to restart the shipment of at least some of the munitions — specifically, interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems, which have been critical to protecting Ukrainian civilians from relentless missile and drone attacks by Russia.
Many of the munitions are already in Poland and could be transferred to Kyiv quickly, the senior administration official said. The weapons package had been allocated by the previous administration and was already en route to Ukraine when it was stopped. In a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, Trump downplayed his role in the decision to halt the flow of weapons, CNN has reported.
The Pentagon did not announce until late Monday night, however, that it would restart shipments at the direction of the president — after Trump had said publicly earlier in the evening that the Ukrainians needed the defensive weapons to protect themselves.

It sure looks like the incompetent cabinet doing as they wish and the POTUS appears to only know what they need him or want him to know. Trump is given the important job of decorating while they "govern". That's why Trump, when speaking off script, wanders into the realm of paint versus real gold leaf, or the beauty of flag poles. That's his primary job in the administration behind public appearances.
The federal response to the Texas flooding just seems to get worse and worse.
QuoteTwo days after catastrophic floods roared through Central Texas, the Federal Emergency Management Agency did not answer nearly two-thirds of calls to its disaster assistance line, according to documents reviewed by The New York Times.
The lack of responsiveness happened because the agency had fired hundreds of contractors at call centers, according to a person briefed on the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss internal matters.
The agency laid off the contractors on July 5 after their contracts expired and were not extended, according to the documents and the person briefed on the matter. Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, who has instituted a new requirement that she personally approve expenses over $100,000, did not renew the contracts until Thursday, five days after the contracts expired. FEMA is part of the Department of Homeland Security.
The details on the unanswered calls on July 6, which have not been previously reported, come as FEMA faces intense scrutiny over its response to the floods in Texas that have killed more than 120 people. The agency, which President Trump has called for eliminating, has been slow to activate certain teams that coordinate response and search-and-rescue efforts.
And the FEMA director has yet to make a public appearance in Texas.

Even President Stupidhead has made an on the ground appearance, where he bragged about lowering the price of eggs.
I know they were overwhelmed with calls but back in October during our back to back hurricanes, I was able to get a live person with FEMA to answer questions. I was actually surprised considering what happened here and the massive flooding in North Caroline from Helene. A couple of weeks ago my friend who is still living with me exhausted his insurance benefits and was trying to get on a program that FEMA has when insurance runs out and people still need help. He got a live person but the left hand wasn't talking to the right and even though he sent in documentation that he was still homeless and paying rent elsewhere, and he sent insurance papers, they still gave him the run around and will most likely get nothing. He's still paying rent away from home, paying for storage, and paying condo fees in a place he hasn't lived in for nine months. Not all about FEMA but the total incompetence of this counties permit situation. Don't get me started.
FEMA even sent a live person to my home to check on me to see if I needed anything and tell me about any programs I might qualify for. Bottom line as a middle income person with insurance I got zero from FEMA but they're there for others who really needed. They put people up in hotels, they gave out food vouchers, etc.
Guess those good times are gone. I suppose the idea the states were to pick up FEMA's slack but that doesn't seem to be happening.

People are going to need to pay closer attention to their state and local government if the federal isn't really going to provide emergency management expertise and man hours to assist people in need. Noem is talking about fundamentally changing FEMA without specifying what those changes might include. I bet they have a concept of a plan. Meanwhile, she says that FEMA burdens state and local officials with unnecessary bureaucracy while she creates a bureaucratic bottleneck with a requirement that she personally sign off on expenditures over $100k.

Trump allies caught off guard by Pentagon's Ukraine weapons freeze - POLITICO https://share.Google/HINfr7w6t8ZTbT4NS
It seems like the shadow government is making decisions that the administration isn't really expecting. Chaos follows. What could possibly go wrong?
On a related note, don't we have an agreement with Ukraine about military support and rare earth assets? Are we breaking that agreement already?
