In a Fox Business Network interview, Trump said that the sticking point for him in the negotiations over a new coronavirus economic relief package is Post Office funding: “If we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money. That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting. They just can’t have it.”

What do you make of the fact that the actual president cannot say that he will accept election results, insists that the election is rigged (again) and has suggested both postponing the election and putting police at polling places? I'll guarantee that the founder's concerns about the republic weren't related to whether or not a political candidate for the presidency might not cede a loss...they were concerned whether the sitting president would cede the loss and relinquish power.
This election is about decency vs. debauchery. Since I have to work on election day, mail-in (or drop-off) voting all that's available to me and I'll bet there are tens of millions of people in the same situation. In-person voting doesn't work when half the polling places are closed in cities. Jocelyn Benson is Michigan Secretary of State informing public re FALSE robocall statement in Detroit Michigan area targeting voters that if they use Vote by Mail, government will have their name in a database and be used by police to track down outstanding warrants, used by credit card companies to obtain outstanding debts and mandatory vaccines.etc.
FYI: VOTERS are already in a state Voting Registration database as in the US one needs to sign up to be a voter. ALL voting ballots: in-person voting, mail returned to election office --whether by absentee ( reason why unable vote in person)/ mail in ballot (no reason needed) are compared to local/state election database that name and signature match.
Name/address can be obtained just from drivers license/ state licenses issued for barber, physician, funeral director, nurse, etc. which are available for sale as considered public information.

For a couple weeks I have been receiving 2 mail deliveries per day. One is packages alone, another first class mail (sometimes as late as 7 PM). I was on the porch when the first class mail person came. I asked her about the 2 deliveries. She said, when she leaves the post office the packages aren't sorted so after they are sorted they are delivered by someone else. In the past my mail person delivered both, promptly at 11:30 AM each day. Seems like a lot of work to send out 2 people to do the same route.
