On Thursday morning, after months of attacks on the United States Postal Service and vote-by-mail, President Donald Trump admitted that the two efforts are connected as a part of one voter disenfranchisement effort. In a Fox Business Network interview, Trump said that the sticking point for him in the negotiations over a new coronavirus economic relief package is Post Office funding: “If we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money. That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting. They just can’t have it.”
I can't blame Obama for the recent occurrence (as I stated 2 weeks ago) for my home receiving 2 mail deliveries a day. I suspect the change is a result of a recent leadership change (with personal motivations and loyalty to our current President);

Nobody's criticizing Trump for removing under-used mailboxes, it's that he's openly admitted to intentionally impairing the post-office's ability to operate to make it harder for people to vote.

House passes bill to put $25 billion into USPS and reverse changes amid uproar

The measure passed in a 257-150 vote. Twenty-six House Republicans supported the bill.
As Republicans oppose the proposal, it has little chance of getting through the GOP-controlled Senate. However, a group of Republican and Democratic senators have proposed a plan to put $25 billion into the postal service. It is unclear if or when the chamber will try to pass the measure.
On Sunday White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told ABC’s “This Week” that the House measure would not mend the postal system and is “going nowhere.”

I've been receiving 2 deliveries a day for the last 6+ years. Postal person has same story as yours. The only reason I remember 6+ years is because its when we built our new home and moved in. I say this as I don't blame any particular administration, but I do note the inefficiency for sure!

You're also saying the quiet part out loud. You're spot on, he has openly stated that he is trying to alter the election process so that people who support his opponent (Dems) will be less likely to vote. It's this sort of election rigging that in past would have caused us to deem a foreign election fraudulent and refuse to acknowledge the winner's claim that they were fairly elected. It's also the criteria that would designate a country a 'failed democracy'.
When has the country ever done 100% mass mail in balloting? Never to my knowledge . Feel free to vote absentee. The potential for voter fraud with mail in balloting is high. We are a constitutional republic. We are not a true democracy.
