Trump’s assault on Postal Service and voting is a plot against American democracy | Editorial
QuoteOn Thursday morning, after months of attacks on the United States Postal Service and vote-by-mail, President Donald Trump admitted that the two efforts are connected as a part of one voter disenfranchisement effort. In a Fox Business Network interview, Trump said that the sticking point for him in the negotiations over a new coronavirus economic relief package is Post Office funding: “If we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money. That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting. They just can’t have it.”
don't believe everything you hear from the liberal news....

Remember the heritage study is a SAMPLING not a full account of all election fraud.

The WAPO is a book review. The incident written about "happened"? in the 1940's. The article is archived under "entertainment/books." What does that have to do with mail in balloting or the USPS? The second link just sends me to the Heritage study which says there is almost no voter fraud. Show me that vote by mail is more fraudulent than voting in person and I'll read it and it has to be significantly different since we can never know the real answer. This is just more deflection from the question of what is the fairest way to provide citizens their votes in a pandemic? You still haven't explained what the plan is to getting poll workers to show up on election day so that folks can even vote in person.
WOW!, how you can interpret almost no voter fraud is beyond my comprehension.
Yes the LBJ example points out democrats have been stuffing ballot boxes since the 1940s. I expect them to do it again especially in California since we have ballot harvesting.
Dateline Orange County 2016: Republicans were winning all of the voting at the voting booths but eventually when all of the "harvested" ballots were collected they lost. First time ever. Coincidence? Fraud? I know my interpretation.
The theory of poll workers not showing up has not been proven. Prove to me that they are not going to show up.

Use your critical thinking skills and do you own research. Even according to Dr. Fauci President Trump's response to Covid has saved lives.
Don't assume that you are in disagreement with a liberal; just stop all that gaslighting. If you were thinking critically, you would reason that he caused more deaths than lives saved. He egged on the governors in the sand states to do exactly the opposite of what the pubic health people advocated and here we are. Costing us billions more in health care. And we STILL don't have adequate PPE! My governor has just gone along with what the health department want done and we have very few cases. Schools are starting online for two weeks and then hybridize with physical attendance. The doctors and nurses here don't have to have PTSD or Covid. It's not rocket science.

The election in Milwaukee? Duh.

You want me to prove to you now what will happen 2 months from now today? Do you believe in time travel?
On the other hand there are indicators that indeed there may be a problem. And that beholdens us to plan accordingly. A foreign concept to our president for sure.
The following tweet was done on March 8th. Already the cases of Covid were mounting with some dead and some on respirators.
QuoteDaniel Scavino Jr. is an American political advisor, currently serving as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Director of Social Media. Scavino previously worked as the general manager of Trump National Golf Club Westchester, and the director of social media for the Donald Trump 2016 presidential campaign.
My example is regional and just referable to Northern California. I actually volunteered to work at the polls as I have the time and was told my particular district didn't need any additional volunteers.
So your theory that not enough poll workers will not show up is just a theory or an opinion. Well all have opinions.

Trump campaign manager: Mail-in voting safe in states that have used it before

ALL STATES have absentee ballot request which is then mailed in upon completion = Mail -in voting.
Delaware County Time 8/20/2020
Quote...Delaware County (PA) Council accepted a $2.2 million dollar grant, awarded by the nonpartisan Center for Tech and Civic Life through its COVID-19 Response Grants Program, for training of poll workers; setting up drop-box locations for voters to return ballots; supporting opportunities to vote early through over-the-counter mail-in voting; and voter education and outreach....
... With the COVID-19 pandemic, the county has seen record numbers of requests for mail-in ballots. Reuther estimates 80,000 requests already been approved. The Board of Elections will begin mailing those out in mid-September....
...The CTCL grant money was helpful for the county to find a solution. County council purchased 50 heavy-duty drop boxes at a cost of $152,000 that members hope to install in each of the 49 county municipalities and one at the county Government Center Building in Media. The boxes will be securely attached and will include video surveillance. The boxes are expected to be installed the first week of October.
Questioning the legality of these boxes, the Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit stating boxes such as these could enable voting fraud because they are not monitored.
“Every state that has no-excuse mail-in voting allows for drop boxes,” said Reuther. “The Pennsylvania Department of State issued guidance on the use of drop boxes well before the primary. It seems kind of silly to say that just because the statute does not have a detailed provision on drop boxes that they are not permitted.”...
...The CTCL grant will also provide hazard pay for poll workers and sufficient staffing of election sites, purchase equipment and to hire temporary staff to support processing of the mail-in ballot applications.
Reuther said the county is still hiring 60-70 seasonal employees. Computer skills are helpful, and second or third shift is desired. The rate is $13.50 an hour.
ABC News 8/26/2020
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday that it has not seen a "coordinated national voter fraud effort during a major election."
"We're fully aware that COVID-19 and the expectation of the increased mail-in ballots has created a new environment for this election cycle," a senior FBI official told reporters on a conference call. "However, we have not seen to date a coordinated national voter fraud effort during a major election. It would be extraordinarily difficult to change a federal election outcome through this type of fraud alone, given the range of processes that we need to be affected or compromised by an adversary, at the local level."

Yeah...we hear about that over and over because we can't (apparently) talk about the administration's disbanding of a critical pandemic team, neglect and mismanagement of the stockpile, and complete failure of a national testing or messaging strategy to save lives and protect our economy. We do hear that Trump believes that China is responsible for letting the virus out of China but he is not responsible for letting it into the USA or allowing it to run willy nilly through the population. How many Americans must die before Trump is held accountable for his incompetence? Trump said it was only 15 people...soon to be zero. TRUMP mismanaged the pandemic response and the messaging and the country is paying a heavy toll for that incompetence. Blaming other people isn't going to fly during this job evaluation.
