She died yesterday. In a small plane crash in Virginia. One of the most beautiful (inside & out) nurses that I will ever have the privilege of working with. Two of her four children perished with her.
Last year, her husband committed suicide. Leaving her to raise the four teens on her own. She persevered. She had just now seemed to be coming back to her "old" self.
And now she's gone. And 2 of her 4 children survive, only to have lost their mom, dad & 2 siblings in a very short span of time.
Hold your loved ones close. Treasure your time on earth. It is not guaranteed.

How sad Roser...I am sorry for the loss of your colleague and friend and I will keep her surviving children in my thoughts and prayers--I cannot begin to imagine the depth of their loss...

I'm so sorry. One of my friends lost a cousin when a plane crashed into her house in MD a year ago. Her cousin and 2 of her cousin's children were killed while the husband and school aged child survived since they were not home. It is such a crazy world. Hugs to you and hopefully the surviving children have other family to help them pick up the pieces. I will keep them all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sitting here trying to think of a way to respond to this. The immensity of the loss and grief those two are living through right now is too great to imagine. I hope they have loved ones to take care of them.

I heard about this terrible crash in the news when it happened. Roser, I'm so sorry that you knew those involved in this tragedy. I pray for the two surviving teens as they try to deal with the overwhelming sense of loss and grief. Big hugs for you, Roser.
