Thank you so much! I am only starting my last year, but I have started looking for programs. This is a lifesaver! Thanks again!

You're welcome :) For what it's worth, if you're just starting your last year, this is so NOT the time to be worried about NCLEX, believe me! You need to concentrate on getting through school first; without that, the NCLEX preparedness is a waste.

You'll have puh-lenty of time to study for NCLEX after graduation. REALLY. For now, flip through what you're curious about, but concentrate on what you need to study now.

See you next year :)

Hi guys,

I'm getting very discourage. I took the kaplan test trainer#4 last week got 60%, took test#5 today got 59%. I test in a few weeks. I have dont 750 questions from the qbank and find i do better on the quiz. I also did questions from the kaplan nclex review book. I'm very scared because i cant seem to get 65% on the test trainers. What should i do?

hi everyone. I failed my NCLEX w/2654 questions and is in a depression stage. I used Kaplan along with the ncsbn program and still failed. My weakness was in peds cuz they asked me so much questions on that topic. I am using Saunders at the moment. Oh my gosh, I am so burnout from studying. pls help......

I think the nclex is just a major guessing game. I studied alot and nothing I studied seemed to matter when I took the test. I still dont know how I managed to pass the damn thing.

Hi , I am new in this forum. I am International nurse graduate.I am planing to take NCLEX after three months. I really don't know how to study and what to study. please advice me what study materials should I use? Where I can get those materials.

i am about to take my exam next month and having this dreadful feeling of taking the exam and this is not my first time.. i dont know what to do.!! i feel so stuck with my life right now.!

I used Kaplan to help prepare me for the prioritization, delgation, infection control, critical thinking type questions. That helped A LOT because that's what most of my questions were. The other books (Saunders, Mosby, Lippincott) helped a lot with content. Still, Kaplan was the best investment I could have made. I passed with 75 questions!

Hello Everyone!!

Passed my NCLEX!! Took it Wednesday and I just found out online today. So happy!! :balloons:

Okay, would like to share my tips for all those interested:

1. Practice a lot of questions. Answer at least 100 questions every day, totaling up to more than 2000 questions before taking the test.

2. Resources used are:

a. Saunder's Comprehensive Review Book

b. Saunder's Strategies for Success

c. Lippincott's NCLEX Review

d. Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment - Practice Exercises for Med-Surg Nursing by La Charity, Kumagai, and Bartz

The Saunder's comprehensive review book provides a brush-up on the fundamentals, while the Lippincott book helps reinforce the nursing scenario through questions that entail critical thinking. The prioritization book provided lots of practice and rationales on prioritizing and delegating - the boards have a lot of these questions.

3. Know lab values by heart.

4. Know prevalent health issues and means of treatment and prevention. Example: breast cancer - risk factors; Hypertension - risk factors, lifestyle modifications such as diet, exercise, etc.

5. Most important of all - PRAY!!! Put your trust in God and He will lead you.

I wish you all the best!!
