The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
Republicans struggle to govern when their ideology and leadership aren't really focused upon governing. The GOP leadership is focused upon getting Trump into the presidency and not much else. Chaos and uncertainty flow from that incompetence.
The Trump/Vance ticket is wanting to pounce on a government shutdown as "the Democrats don't want a free, fair and secure election!" But that will be hot air to a lot of people.
I think the republican leadership understand that a shutdown isn't going to reflect good on them. The people that aren't going to vote for Trump or listen to Fox News won't put all the blame on Democrats and having the government shut down so close to the election probably isn't something they want.
Bickering and threats of a government shutdown and last minute deals are something we're used to so it probably doesn't matter right now.

Telling lies is different than factual comparisons but I'm not surprised that you don't know that, and you feel differently. You feel like Trump is a victim of the left.
Can you show me the time that Harris or Biden shared an image of their political opponent hogtied in the back of a truck or encouraged rally voters to rough up protestors or suggested that police could be physically abusive with detainees or spoke about a bloodbath in the country if they don't get their way? That's just a few recent examples of inflammatory and violent rhetoric. Can you attach any of those to Harris or Biden?
When I compared Trump to other 20th century fascists it was the response from the right which suggested that such a comparison almost demanded assassination. It's like that violence is baked in to Trump the belief system. Now the right wants to project that propensity to think in term of violence onto others as the expected violence begins to increase.
