I think every American has heard Trump and Trump surrogates and sychophants say that Trump's legal cases are politically motivated. That messaging has been repeated on every media outlet and platform. Some people believe it because it's repeated often enough. There's lots of that Trump messaging all over social media. Umm ... the guy's dead. Your disinclination to forgive is irrelevant.
On the other hand, Biden's history of maintaining mutually respectful, even friendly, relationships with people on the opposite side of a political divide is legendary. I suspect that it's been at least partially responsible for his administration's legislative success.
