Things you would love to say to your fellow nursing students!

Published

Along the lines of the first thread, "Things you would love to say to your nursing instructors" I thought this would be a great thread to start. I've since graduated LVN but there was one main thing I wanted to say to some students in my class.

Will you people in the back row please stop talking! I swear that today I can still hear their motormouths running! :chuckle

When I am in the RN bridge I will come back and post some more. I'm sure some of you have something to get off your chest. Come on and unload here! :)

i don't expect you to like my accent but at least be patient. this is not my native language and i would like to see how you would study nursing in foreign language!

i totally agree and if they listen closely they'll hear the intelligent and sensible ideas and comments y'all have to make rather than some of the crap they spout... this really annoys me when persons are being made to feel as if they're less than human.. you're going into the field of nursing, a caring profession or maybe they don't know the meaning of that word

Just because I make As does NOT mean I cheat!!!!!!! Jeez!!! I wouldn't even know how to cheat if I wanted to! I study my behind off... you should try it sometime! And quit asking me for the answers and my study guide!

It's okay to be wrong; consider it an opportunity to learn something new.

When you ask an instructor how you got questions wrong on a test, take it into consideration that it's actually, shockingly...because you got the answer wrong...no one likes hearing you complain over every one that you missed on the test. I wouldn't be broadcasting it as much as you do either. :)

I don't know if this has been posted, but......

I don't want to hear you squeal over your fantastic grade on that test I just barely passed, nor do I want to get the FB news feeds with every test grade you've ever made in the program......

Having a study group with you and tutoring you for free are not the same thing. Your inability to study does not mean that it's my responsibility to teach you everything you would have learned if you would have just shown up to class or bothered to listen when you did.

I has been posted several times but this what I say about that: I do post my grades but I do it so my family members, who WANT to know, can see. BUT, I also grouped all my classmates into a group so I can block it from them and they don't have to see it. Not that it matters much, my class has always shared grades with each other. I'm not sure why, but we always have.

As far as not wanting to share grades, or know everyone else's, I can totally understand that.

I have no problem sharing my grades when asked.....actually see my post 4 down 1 to go..... :D I am not ashamed if I only make a C or B!

And I understand wanting your family to see your grades....my entire family is 900 miles away, so I have to update them too......

There is one specific person in my class who has to scream her grades out, immediately post them to FB and talk about how "lucky and blessed" she is....I would greatly appreciate someone who had the courtesy that you do!

I want to tell classmates to GROW UP. Sorry if you're not passing, but don't be rude to me about it. And for the love of god, quit shushing us! If you don't want to hear us talking then move. It's not like we're talking in the middle of lecture and I don't think the classroom needs to be kept at library decimal level during break time. No one asked you to sit anywhere near us, and quite frankly, I'll be very glad not to see you next semester. :)

Please just drop out of school. you dont come to class, you dont study for tests. Thats why u have a 77ish average in school. stop dragging the rest of us down with your laziness and lack of desire to be in the program. there are plenty of people who would work 10x hard and love it more than you do.

to the one in the back who wont shut her mouth about every topic the teacher brings up putting their 2 cents in and for posting bu*******t on fb that no one gives a dead squirrels nuts about. go away. ur annoying. thank you.

All the giggles and laughs, and those ''had to be there'' moments, all those amazing nights out and the movie nights in and the study sessions, all the cramming for exams, all the tears we've shed, fountains of tea we drank and tissues we used due to bad days on clinicals, being homesick and silly boys! I don't know what I'd do without ye girls :) Ye are the best!!!!
