Anyone else finding the wait to see if you are accepted into nursing school excrutiating. Right now I am waiting to find out if I am accepted, and it has totally got me freakd out. It's like everything is riding on this one thing that I am waiting for.
Right now, the school I applied to is going through the applications making sure that everything that needs to be done is, so I have been in close contact with my advisor. I am waiting to see if the english class I am taking will be accepted by the nursing school. I am so nervous, I just want everything to work out.
Just wanted to know if anyone else out there is sitting anxiously for their acceptance letter.

I've been anxious from day one when I turned in my first of five applications. I have a list of the schools I applied to and when I'm supposed to be hearing back from each one. Surprisingly enough it turns out it is one per month.
The first school I should be hearing back from is Mt. Saint Mary's College. There are those on this forum that have gotten their email for an interview already, so today I called to find out what is happening. It turns out that the fact that I took AP credit for English that I earned instead of taking an English 1 class may prevent me from even getting an interview. Now I'm completely paranoid that this lack of a class may prevent me from getting into any colleges.
In the meantime, I'm applying to yet another school to keep me busy.

Oh boy - do I ever feel your pain!! I submitted my application in September and was supposed to find out in February. But then, I got an email saying there have been so many applicants that we won't find out until mid to late March, ugh. This application period is for a June or January 2010 start. So, if things don't work out this time I will apply again for Summer 2010, longer than I really wanted to wait.
I don't have all my pre-reqs done, but they said that is OK. But, the fear is flowing that maybe I have too many to do (5) and they won't like it. Admission for me is based on GPA and essay alone. I have a good GPA, but worry my essay is flawed. Ugh, I just HATE this wait! At least I have classes starting next week to distract me from the deadline - so there is a bright spot! lol
Good luck to you - keep us posted when you get that letter!!

Sounds like we're all in the same boat. It's good to know we're not alone. Let's keep each other posted!
Best of luck to us all =)

Hi Everyone,
I was told once my Chem grade was turned in...I could possibly get my acceptance letter. So I am expecting it anytime ( I think this is unrealistic but I have never been able to wait on anything). As a child I could never wait until Christmas morning to open what Santa left for me under the tree, so now you can feel my impatience. I wish you all good luck....If anyone figures out how to gain patience please pass on that info to me...
Good Luck everyone!

Considering we have to register for classes next week, I'm kind of getting worried about not hearing yet. Understandably they were on "furlough" days until yesterday, but still!
*Nervous* for the second time.

I'm almost where you guys are. I'm waiting for my boss to finish filling out my reference so I can send my application packet. I want to shake him to make him hurry up, but that probably won't help. Good luck to all of you.

I won't hear until May, so it's just a wait and wonder game now. I've got A&P II this semester, so that will keep me busy anyway. My start would either be Sept 2010 or January 2011, so I've got a while either way until I really get started.

Good luck! Unfortunately I haven't even started the real wait yet.. I can't apply until Feb 1st and I won't hear back until mid June because they wait for spring grades. I've been inpatient since the fall semester started so I know I will be a mess.. I'll just have to focus on my spring classes.

I am also playing the waiting game but I am waiting to turn in my application!
The nursing program I am applying to works on a points system and one way to get extra points is to have an associates degree. I applied for the degree last November but still have not got a date. It was accepted but no date.
I am hoping I will get the letter in the mail this week so that I can apply next week. The deadline to turn applications in is March 13th, but from what I heard you do not get a letter until between late April and early July!
I am excited but nervous at the same time. Good Luck to everyone!
