I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.

Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL

Shucks, found out about rally just 2 hrs from me; Wildwood was our vacation spot when kids young--but had aide supervision visit scheduled time of rally. Well, when asked to dismantle tents past 2 weeks and didn't leave, learned a lesson re consequences of ones action.

What I would have loved would be if Trump would have accepted his election defeat, and retired quietly to Mar-a-Lago. He chose to file multiple suits questioning the election results. He chose to pressure the Georgia Secretary of State to "find votes", he chose to create false slates of electors, he chose to gather his supporters in Washington, DC and told them to go to the Capitol and fight like hell. He chose to watch the Jan 6 rioters for hours, before calling them off. He chose to take classified documents and refused to return them. He files motions, appeals, suits, ad nauseam , running up legal bills. He could have kept his yap shut and not defamed E. Jean Carole.

That little part about peaceful and patriotically didn't seem to influence Trump's adoring crowd that day, did it? They missed that sentiment, must be... for hours. And Trump didn't try to correct their confusion, either... how odd, eh?
We are discussing Trump's policies. His policy was to withhold military aid from Ukraine in return for personal political dirt on his opponent, his foreign policy is corrupt. Trump's policy was to lie about our healthcare amid the worst public health crisis of your lifetime, that policy was corrupt. Trump's border policy was to inflame his cult and use child cruelty to discourage families from migrating. He lost children in his corrupt and dishonest mismanagement of that. We do discuss Trump's policy to lie about anything and everything.
