I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.

Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL

The American people are watching this inexperienced judge in Florida delay an important case of huge significance. The evidence against Trump in this case is nearly open and shut. The question is whether the judge is a partisan actor or incompetent or a combination.
Keeping information about Trump out of the public eye while he claims victimhood is a feature of Trumpian politics. He started out with the Enquirer and now he has a judge or two helping him.

The hypocrisy is tangible. This is open and shut but not in the way you think.
None of that really matters in the fraud charges. She added lots of color about the encounter that night. The defense never should have denied that "dinner date" and they should have been more careful in their cross and objections.
Her testimony probably didn't help the prosecution but it may have hurt Trump with the jury.

And isn't that the point? Hurt Trump by any means possible law case going side ways? Let's get washed out Stormy to degrade him with details about sex she admits she was blacked out for.
As for her face looking like a horse . No big deal. Pretty sure the movies she was in didn't not focus on her face.

Exactly. That's the point of criminal trials, to paint the picture of the criminal with the brushes available. Stormy wasn't washed up when Trump invited her to his room and suggested that he could help her career. She was a 27 year old adult film actress and he was a 60 year old, thrice married celebrity.
Maybe you know more about Stormy's films than I do.

So far, the NYC judge seems to be competent and nonpartisan in his courtroom and judicial statements and rulings. I suspect that your complaint is just the general Trump grievance that this is all politically motivated yada yada, but I'm going to give you the opportunity to offer up a specific example of an incompetent or partisan behavior from Merchan. I won't hold my breath.
It's interesting that you believe that there's some open and shut defense to Trump retaining, hiding, and lying about having scores of top secret documents. Not surprising that you would say it but interesting that you would believe it.

Sure. Maybe the jury will listen to or read the same analysis and commentary that you did and come to the same conclusions that you have. You get to believe Trump instead of her about the sex part, although she testified under oath and the denials are not sworn testimony. It's also important to note that the sex is irrelevant, it's just a way to tell a story about the morals and ethics of the defendant. The other witnesses testified to the facts of the crimes.
It is kind of entertaining to read conservative commentary and comments about the Stormy testimony. It was very triggering it seems.

No. The idea that Trump whined and complained about not being allowed to attend a graduation was amusing. It made me chuckle when all of that whining turned out to be a fever dream when the judge told Trump he could go to the graduation. That all made Trump look like a man baby. Now I'm amused that Trump has to attend the HS graduation and that makes for a very busy day of travel for Trump.

And disgraced Fani Willis case against Trump due to her extreem prejudice and obvious corruption may not be going well either....
So I'm not sure if "Team Trump" feels like they suffered a loss at least in those 2 cases.

She's preparing to hold open hearings in the weeks before the election to explore Trump's complaints that this is all politically motivated. That will definitely help Trump to solidify his support in the cult.
