I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

Yeah, I saw Trump respond to a specific question with a uninformed answer. His lawyer looked dumbfounded, and I don't know why he didn't correct him.
Trump corrected himself the next day.
It certainly was fodder for CNN talking heads and the ladies on The View.

It's an interesting situation for the judge. He's observing Trump telling obvious lies to the public while observing the defense counsel stand by as if he agrees with the lies.
We should be able to watch these proceedings.

Totally agree with you!
Also I read somewhere the lawyer should be sanctioned/lectured by the judge for misadvising his client about the terms of the gag order!

The judge in the case corrected Trump the next morning. Perhaps Trump modified his remarks after that.
Another trial day another warning for Trump from the bench.
Quote"I do not want to impose a jail sanction and have done everything I can to avoid doing so. But I will if necessary,” Merchan said from the bench in the absence of a jury.
How embarrassing.
There's a poem circulating social media about Trump in the courtroom. Have you seen it?
I find George Conway's thread posts full of interesting discussions + memes by various persons who were prior Trump cabinet employees, political pundits and cable TV hosts. His ex-wife Kellyanne was Trumps 2016 campaign manager responsible for getting him elected and remains a Trump advisor today. George gave a Biden PAC $1millon dollars last month as concerned about end of democracy if Trump reelected. You can find a poem there.

I wonder if it's the same poem. Untitled.

QuoteWhen one grand juror asked Nauta if he would "just pick some off the top,” Nauta said "yes,” according to a newly unsealed transcript and unredacted FBI search warrant affidavit.
At one point in the process of choosing boxes for Trump to review before returning them to the Archives, Nauta said that Trump "was like, okay, that's it.”
Nauta's account was corroborated by a second witness, whose identity is not publicly known. Both said that Trump gave the direction not to give the National Archives any more boxes.
It's very inconvenient for the corrupt presidential candidate to have sworn testimony, that implicates him in crimes, released to the public.
Meanwhile, the witness testimony in the NYC case has been fascinating as it details his corruption.

Judge Cannon has pleased Trump with this decision. I wonder what she expects in return for delaying justice.
