Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL

My life during Trump's first term? I developed a great deal of anxiety when Trump was threatening North Korea. His travel ban on people from Muslim countries triggered threats and vandalism toward people in my community. I saw federal workers impacted by Trump's p***ing match when he shut down the government to get his wall paid for. I had demonstrators in front of my office at the local health department, calling me a baby-killer for promoting vaccines, before the pandemic. I waited in line for over an hour to buy fabric to buy masks because they weren't available. I listened to daily reports about how many beds and ventilators were available at the hospital. I saw people argue over who got priority for vaccines. I saw kids demonstrating for Black Lives Matter get harassed and shouted down by yahoos in noisy lifted trucks with guns on display. And yes, community members were removed to a detention facility 100 miles, including US citizens and green card holders. They were held for 1-2 weeks until they could get a hearing and released, leaving their families without income.
Please note, I did not say concentration camp, that is your term.
So, can you specifically say what Trump will do to make your life better?

Trump secured the country from not allowing certain people from certain well known hostile countries into the US.
Vaccine distrust and skepticism regarding medications and procedures have alway been a reality. Remember the vaccines cause autism era?
As far as vaccine supplies, the entire world was struggling with that. I think you made the point the economy was bad throughout the world too.
Black Lives Matter, a noble movement turned into riots, violence and looting and had very little to do with the initial idea. This is evident by BLM top organizers being caught stealing money from the movement.
My life was much better under Trump than Biden/Harris. I felt more safe and know that there will be far more security at the border. I was hoping for the unity Biden promised then he turned just as divisive as some say Trump was. It was obvious he wasn't running his own presidency as he declined further. Oh and although Trump has said he supports abortion rights, the democrats refuse to apply any limits on abortion . Even if "nobody will get a abortion in late pregnancy ".

Trump was the largest source of disinformation during COVID-19 which was directly responsible for avoidable chaos and confusion and conflict. Trump himself was the source for anxiety of the people of the country. Vaccine hesitancy among conservative Republicans exploded during Trump's administration and high point of influence.
You felt safer under Biden but violent crime was higher during his administration. Are you basing you assessment of Trump's presidency exclusively on feelings or is their room for measurable benchmarks?

After Uvalde, I did not feel safe, even after Trump showed up for his photo op.
The Las Vegas shooting did not make me feel safe.

Higher during his administration? Are you refering to when Trump said in the debate that violent crime was up under Biden/Harris and the FBI stats were not accurate because some data was not included?
This was a lie? Disinformation?
It appears the FBI stats were in fact missing data and the FBI has now very quietly updated the data that showa a exponentially higher number of violent crime and crime in general. So crime is up.
How would the Harris regime manage this with her misinformation goal?. It was "misinformation " when Trump said the crimes were up, now, the FBI released data that indicated that it is true.

Untill you show the same concern, empathy and outrage for pro "palastine" terrorist sympathizers calling death to America and uttering genocidal traits, praising Hamas , up to vadilizing synagogues and Jewish children in fear of going to school, I'll take this statement seriously.
If Sikh temples were vandalized and Sikh children were scared of trucks and flags, I think that is awful and unacceptable.
The people working on the project will be banned except the guy closely affiliated with the Heritage Foundation who wrote the foreword to P2025. He'll be the one who steps in when Trump is declared unfit to serve. We're supposed to believe the claims coming from the campaign that tells us Haitians are eating pets?

For nearly 25 years, I led marketing at NBC and NBCUniversal. I led the team that marketed "The Apprentice,” the reality show that made Donald Trump a household name outside of New York City, where he was better known for overextending his empire and appearing in celebrity gossip columns.
To sell the show, we created the narrative that Trump was a super-successful businessman who lived like royalty. That was the conceit of the show. At the very least, it was a substantial exaggeration; at worst, it created a false narrative by making him seem more successful than he was.
In fact, Trump declared business bankruptcy four times before the show went into production, and at least twice more during his 14 seasons hosting. The imposing board room where he famously fired contestants was a set, because his real boardroom was too old and shabby for TV.
Trump may have been the perfect choice to be the boss of this show, because more successful CEOs were too busy to get involved in reality TV and didn't want to hire random game show winners onto their executive teams. Trump had no such concerns. He had plenty of time for filming, he loved the attention and it painted a positive picture of him that wasn't true.
I discovered in my interactions with him over the years that he is manipulative, yet extraordinarily easy to manipulate. He has an unfillable compliment hole....
I also found Trump remarkably thin-skinned. He aggressively goes after those who critique him and seeks retribution. That's not very businesslike – and it's certainly not presidential...
I learned early on in my dealings with Trump that he thought he could simply say something over and over, and eventually people would believe it. He would say to me, “‘The Apprentice' – America's No. 1 TV show.” But it wasn't. Not that week. Not that season....
While we were successful in marketing "The Apprentice,” we also did irreparable harm by creating the false image of Trump as a successful leader. I deeply regret that. And I regret that it has taken me so long to go public....
