I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

First of all, its the other poster who brought up of his "alleged speech impediment ".
Secondly, it's Biden himself who has done the alleging. Supposedly, it's another obstacle he has overcome to get where he is.
There is no evidence such as video, friends or family, or mention of childhood stuttering in reporting of him early in his career.
It's another one of his lies. If someone else brings it up, I'm going to refute it, if so inclined.
No signs of stuttering (while he's lying) here:
I don't think that Biden's stutter is another one of his lies. I think he over came it and not sure how severe it was. A video of him not stuttering is no indication that he didn't have a stutter in his life. I don't remember it being an issue until recently so maybe it's dementia and old age because he does stammer around now and every time he does the right goes crazy about it.

No, it's not. But there certainly isn't any sign he's ever had one, until now. He's pretty quick and articulate in his younger days. And no sign of any reporting in the press about it or him speaking about it for most of his career, until relatively recently.

In the part of the post you left out I acknowledged all of that with the caveat that it could be a sign of dementia as well.
I don't know why he stutters and stammers now and was articulate most of his adult life, but I don't believe he's making up the story that he was a stuttering child and learned to deal and overcome it.
Regarding the highlighted part, I agree he didn't talk about it much but it's been talked about for a long while. The C-Span interview is from the 90's and the NPR article is from 2008. It might not have been widely know by us, probably because he didn't want it to be an issue. I don't think it's another one of his lies.
Also in looking at some of his interviews he isn't always "quick and articulate" and you can catch some deliberate more slower articulation.

As I said, all references to his stuttering that I've seen are relatively recent.
With the one Tweety posted being the exception.

Maybe no one cared until it became important to portray him as being unfit as he got older. Also what was absent until recently is the advent of YouTube and other social media snippets to fit that agenda.

Actually, I still don't care. As trump's incompetence and sheer stupidity became increasingly clear over the course of his term, it was predictable that magadonians would try to keep us from looking over there. Exaggerating a minor neurological anomaly and pretending that it has anything to do with cognitive ability is pretty much par for the maga course.
It seems they want to do it again. I wonder if they expect different results.
Oh boy... I'm back online. What a trip. Now I find myself in a thread about Trump where the local Trump apologist insists on wondering about Biden's stutter rather than wondering about Trump's long term claim that it was bone spurs, rather than privilege and cowardice, that kept him out of the military.

For a senile old faht, Biden plays a mean game of rope-a-dope. A showdown between him and DeSantis would be one for the ages.
Meanwhile, trump is being arraigned in Miami tomorrow, if he can hire a lawyer in time. Now taking bets on how long he can draw this one out.
Don't look over there, though. Let's talk about Biden's alleged speech impediment. Again.
