The Made Incredibly Easy books

Are they worth it? I have scoped them out and am thinking of getting a few (fundamentals, pharm, fluids and electrolytes) but don't want to waste my money if they aren't worth it! I know they won't replace reading my textbooks, which I wouldn't do, but just as another study tool. TIA!

I've used only the med calc one as I am math-phobic. Found it helpful, really broke things down in an easy to understand format. Not sure about any of the other titles though.

FnE Made EZ was one of our recommended texts. I like it.

I don't know how your school is but at mine we have so many text books, study guides, dvds and other things. I've bought the study guide for pharm but I barely used it. I guess what I'm saying is you have so many things to read already that I wouldn't buy anything extra unless you are really struggling and feel you need something to help you more. Good Luck!

Hmm, I don't think our pharm book has a study guide. The only books we have to read is Jarvis, Potter and Perry and pharm. I have some study guides for Jarvis and P&P. I might just get the F&E one. Thanks for the help!

I know a lot of people like these books but I find them useless, not helpful at all.

These books are a great supplementation to your required texts. I found them to be a great study tool. These books break down topics into basic, simple, concrete defintions. They give you memory triggers have good diagrams, and although I am not much of a visual learner the diagrams do help. The books break down subjects easily and quickly so you can understand the basics better, allowing you to study the finer details with more ease. I bought the fluid and electrolyte one this summer (mostly because I felt our school really fell short in this area. I ACTUALLY understand acid- base compensation vs. uncompensated now!) I also got a Med-surg one for a review for the summer and will be ordering 3 more for this upcoming semesters courses. Buy one and see how you like them.

I would go to the library first and see how they are before you think about buying them. I bought the one for pharm and it was good.

I only have one ...NCLEX-RN Questions and Answers made Incredibly Easy but I really like it. I use it before each test to practice. It's just questions and the rationales broken down into sytems and topics so it's good to help make sure I have the basics down for the tests. Every now and then it'll have something I missed and sure enough it'll be on the test.

I really liked EKGs made Incredibly Easy! I bought the Pharm one and never even looked at it. I also have Pathophysiology Made Incredibly Visual, which I recommend.
