The Made Incredibly Easy books

Are they worth it? I have scoped them out and am thinking of getting a few (fundamentals, pharm, fluids and electrolytes) but don't want to waste my money if they aren't worth it! I know they won't replace reading my textbooks, which I wouldn't do, but just as another study tool. TIA!

Ive heard good things, and plan on investing in some. I'll also bet getting some of the Idiots Guide and For Dummies books for algebra, micro A&P ( i have some of those before, on completely unrelated topics, and LOVE them)

definetly check amazon, or ebay, half.com for MUCH better prices.

I have had several as reference books a bazillion years after nursing school :)

The F&E, ECG and NCLEX books were helpful.

F&E was a required text for us.

I found several of theses books and similar books at my local Goodwill, so I could afford to get many supplemental books.

Worked for me.

I have a few of them, they can break things down, but you probably won't have time to read them.

I love the Patho visual book, but the F & E book was a life saver.

I found them helpful. In A&P the professor followed the book so closely, I never took notes; I just highlighted what was in the book. Saved a great deal of time.

For those students wishing to challenge a class, the book for the subject is very helpful because it covers the info that is covered in the RN NCLEX and nothing more. It is a quick and dirty way to study.

I know a lot of people like these books but I find them useless, not helpful at all.

i dont find them helpful either.. i feel like its just a dumbed down version of my textbook. just extra unnecessary reading.

I like the pharm one. I have used it quite a bit. I don't care for the fundamentals one. Thank goodness I got them cheap!

I find them to be pretty helpful, but our teachers really stick to their powerpoints so I only use them when I don't understand a concept. So far I have used the Pharm and Nutrition one for theory and liked them both. I need to sell the dosage calculation one because I LOVE my textbook. The Assessment one is AWESOME!

 Definitely like this series. I have the NCLEX prep book and use it now to prepare for theory exams. The maternity and med-surg sections are especially helpful. They have lots of NCLEX style questions at the end of each section, with rationales for each answer. To maximize your time, maybe try using these books for the concepts you're really struggling with. I agree with the library idea - make sure it works for you before you spend the $. Or, if you like it, put it on your Christmas list, like I did.

They also make little pocket guides which I've found very helpful for things like F&E balance, labs, and remembering the differences between hyper- and hypo- (fill in your favorite disease process).
