Democrats are excited about Harris and as of this writing she's raised 100 million dollars since Biden announced he was dropping out and throwing his support behind her.
Quote"Republicans, I worry, vastly underestimate Kamala Harris. They don't think very highly of her. They don't think she's terribly bright. When you or I bring up Kamala Harris' name in Republican circles, people laugh. It's immediately a punchline," Cruz said Monday on his podcast "Verdict with Ted Cruz."
Cruz warned against Republicans preemptively celebrating a Trump-Vance win months out from the election, arguing Democrats and the media will promote Harris as an "historic" candidate.

Although it was staged, it's clear there's a rapport there. They've come down to earth but also realize there's a lot of work to do and things are serious. You have to believe that this is indeed someone she can sit down and have lunch with every day.
They have a likability factor that Trump-Vance don't have. Obvious policy is more important than personality but it's refreshing to see some personality.
I understand with Fox News she can't do anything right, and saw a couple of anti-Harris articles about her dodging the press and apparently her lack of doing a press conference is an issue not only with them but the Trump-Vance camp. I didn't notice but it looks like she's being encouraged to do so.
In the meantime Trump lied in his press conference and said Harris let 20 million people into the US at the border.

Trump also warned us that if we elect Harris she would throw everyone into a communist system where everyone gets healthcare. That's definitely weird.

In the meantime, Walz felt compelled to lie about his affinity for nothing fancier then white guy tacos. I guess he was trying to seem "folksy".
"In his 2022 post, Walz published a photograph of his 2016 "Hotdish Off" award, writing: "I don't know, people... I make a pretty mean hotdish. Check out my award-winning recipe for Turkey Taco Tot Hotdish here."
A link included in the post led to a 2016 article published by The Journal in Minnesota, which listed Walz's winning recipe. Among the ingredients were "1 can diced mild green chilies," "1 bottle taco sauce (medium)" and "chili powder."

I suppose we'll see her plans for "opportunity economy". Sounds like she might favor controls on salaries and prices. And, has already said some should receive help so that "we all end up in the same place".
I can see why some compare her to a communist.
And, why would she favor making it a federal crime to gage prices?

She did outline some of that plan for opportunity in her remarks.
What in her policy outline leans toward communism, in your view?

Which parts of that opinion did you agree with? Let's discuss.

Earth-shattering!
I'm skeptical as to measures to reduce price gouging would work. I would rather offer companies reduced taxes if profits were directed to wages or childcare or safer workplaces.
At least one article I've read said the housing allowance would increase demand when there already is a housing shortage, and drive prices higher.
I took the white guy taco comment as a dad joke.
