I'm starting nursing school in August. I bought the "ultimate nursing bag" which is a great little back except that it only has one strap. I know the future holds several sore neck muscles and shoulders. And most bags that go on your back with two straps aren't big enough to hold everything that we need to. I'm considering the.......
ROLLING BACKPACK
Any thoughts?
Here is a link to the ZUCA back pack that was mentioned earlier - It may be too pricey. I hope I don't get in trouble for posting the site :trout:
OMG...you will not "look silly"! Do you know how many of the students (not only NS) at my school use those??? Trust me, I've been going long enough for non-NS courses and that's bad enough trying to lug my books on my back (ouch). I plan on getting a rolling backpack or something when I start the NS courses...I am NOT willing to lug those books on my back!
And just as a side note...I work at a huge pharmaceutical company and you wouldn't believe the amount of executives that use the rolling brief cases!!!
I guess maybe it depends on where you live, but here, it's the norm.

Way back in the day when I was in college, I was one of the first to use a rolling book bag. They quickly became popular with the older student population, as most of us were in no condition to lug 40 pounds of books and other equipment around our 18-acre campus. Some of the younger students did look at us funny, and occasionally we'd catch 'em sneering, but like somebody already said, it wasn't junior high school---I couldn't care less what anyone else thought, so long as my back didn't ache ferociously after a long hard day at school.
