OKAY...took NLCEX-RN today and....
I'm not expecting anything for a week at the very least. They're probably swamped with all the new grads testing right now.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
I think "ready for delivery" means they have your result but have not yet sent it to your BRN. I believe "Delivery successful" means your state BRN has received your result. When I tried the trick yesterday the status said "ready for delivery" and the pop-up window I got said that there was still an open exam and I would not be able to schedule another exam. When I tried the trick and the status said "delivery successful" the pop-up window told me to contact my board. Best of luck to you!

OKAY...took NLCEX-RN today and....
There's a whole giant thread on it. :)

Just took the NCLEX and shut off at 75!!
I don't know how long it takes. I have classmates who tested 9 days ago and their names still aren't up. I was talking to some people from another school and they were saying it seemed to take 2 business days for names to appear on the BRN site. I just know I'll keep looking until I see my name with "RN" after it. :)

Quick results or Pearson Trick?
If CA participated in Quick Results I'd be all over that.

I'm praying they're all right too! I took NCLEX today and would be a mess without that trick. I'm in CA and our state does not participate in Quick Results, so we're out of luck until our names come up on our BRN website.

Here's the link for the CA BRN permanent license verification.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
I took NCLEX this morning and got 75 questions. I am in California and our BRN website says it takes 2-4 weeks to be notified via mail of the results. As everyone knows, CA does not participate in the QuickResults so I was very thankful for this little trick. I feel relieved now that I know there's a good chance I passed. Prior to this, the only other trick I knew of was looking for my name on the BRN website. :)

California's 2009 New Grad RN Program- Who's hiring right now?
You have to check the websites regularly. The nurse recruiter at Mercy San Juan told me that Mercy Methodist, Mercy General, and Mercy Folsom don't have set dates for their new grad programs and so add positions here and there. 500 people applied, 200 resumes were forwarded to managers and 24 people were interviewed for the 6-10 new grad positions at San Juan. There is a lot of competition for new grad positions, especially here in the Sacramento area. Only 10-15 of my 48 classmates have jobs lined up. When I left the MSJ interview they told me that they expect people who aren't hired to keep their skills up by working at BloodSource, a dialysis clinic or in subacute care and to continue their education. I've never worked in healthcare but I did my 4th semester clinical rotation and my preceptorship at the hospital where I was offered a job, so I'm one of the lucky few in my class. Best of luck to all of you.

Finally at the end of the NS road.
Congratulations! I had my final yesterday and our pinning ceremony is Tuesday. It's a very exciting time, isn't it?

Am I going to be able to get a job?
Also, I would recommend not waiting until you graduate to apply. Even if jobs descriptions specify experienced nurses, apply anyway. If they don't get enough experienced applicants, most places will consider new grads. Don't forget about county or prison nursing - it may not be your ideal, but it's a foot in the door of experience.
