I wanted to start a support thread for all of us that will be applying for the Spring 09 start. My hope is that we keep this thread alive through the process and keep each other encouraged! Nursing School is hard enough to get into!

hey alex, do you have the net guide? it's very helpful. i'm applying for spring 09 at wcccd, so good luck to you as well. try to get a good night sleep, and some breakfast, and ask in advance if calculators are being used. my gpa is only 3.5 but i'm hoping i still get in. like u i also don't have a plan b, but 2 cry:cry: but i've got high hopes and u should 2. keep us all posted:D

hey everyone i was apart of the spring 09 hopefuls until today, when i received my letter. i am so excited...now for the real stress.:chuckle

Where are you applying? Central Arizona College

What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice? 3.5

When is your schools deadline? Oct 20th

When does the acceptance letters go out? No clue

What is your plan A, B, C...?

Plan B is to apply for a CC LPN fasttrack program... same deadline

Plan C is to submit app and get on the list for Aug 09 ( No biggy) I'll work a few CNA homehealth jobs and finish all my co-reqs in the meantime. I only have 4 left

All pre-reqs done... writing essay and meeting with advisor next week.

How is everyone handling their wait? The suspense is killing me!!! I swear I must call the office twice a week to double check when the letters are going out or try to find out how many applicants there were. When I called yesterday the only answer I got was that the letters will go out "in a few weeks." How many weeks?! 2? 3? 7? Arg! Ok, I feel better now lol. :D

Been so long since I've been in school. I would have to say the last time I was in school I had a 3.0 GPA..that was over 10 yrs ago.

When is your schools deadline?

May 2, 2009 (classes start in the fall)

When does the acceptance letters go out?

sometime that summer. after the NET test.

What is your plan A, B, C...?

No other plan. If I don't get into Nursing school I will continue to work where I am and try again the next yr.

Well...I'm waiting. :no: -lol- My school has a timeline that they follow. I have until Oct. 15th to find out the status of my application & from there we wait for an interview (if selected) in November. They're still accepting applications until the 30th. So to sum it up I'm still pulling my hair out...one by one. :chuckle
